    Good move for him, and great for United.

    Seemingly could have went south, Aus or stayed in the Scottish prem, but chose United. I like that, moving for the football and to win a trophy and promotion.
    May not be as glamour as winning the league with us back in the day, but it's a desire to play football and win matches and win a trophy.

    He's actually getting in better shape the older he gets.

    There was one stage when he was with us (think it was his second season 2008/2009) and he looked to be about 4 or 5 stone overweight.

    He was.

    The players went away on hols together that year and there was a photo of McDonald laying at the beach with glasses on and he looked awful. I'm going to look for the photo.

    Fair enough, do yer job & score the goals. But don't run around the pitch & head straight to Terry Butcher to celebrate like you've just won the Champions League.

    Could never really like him after that.
