Yeah I agree, has some pace and done a good job when played out on the right

 

as some already pointed out he had his best games in the CL or for Scotland. the reason is quite simple: Celtic in the CL and Scotland in general are mostly underdogs. the other team has to create the game and make the running. that's Brown's game, the game without a ball. he chases other players, tackles them (although he's an abysmal tackler imo) and destroys the opponent's game. he runs all the time and got a lot of energy.

however, in the SPL, Celtic are no underdogs. we have to create the game in 9.5 out of 10 games, we have to play the ball, the opponent defends against us. that's when Brown gets extremely useless. his technique is poor, he can't pass nor shoot (can't believe we paid £4.4 m for such a limited footballer). he ain't no footballer, he is a lumberjack. unfortunately we are a football club to a certain extent.

to cut a long story short: since Brown can't walk with the ball at his feet nor pass, he is only useful against superior sides, which is the case may be 4-6 times a year at most for us. not good enough for that price and wages.

He should move on to a smaller English side. I'm sure he could be good for them.

 

Did Brown not get players player of the year for us last year? I still think he's good and is a character that we need around the dressing room. The whole teams been * this season, I agree but there's obviously something good there with Brown if GS, TM and NL choose him every week with 2 of them making/keeping him as captain.

 

He just needs a bit more composure on the ball when passing cos you can't really fault his effort and determination,also maybe cut out the rash challenges

 

What exactly did he do today? Got booked again (didn't see that one coming) and been hiding most of the game. Only this time instead of clattering others, he got clattered constantly. Gomis kept an eye on him for most of the game and prevented him from doint anything, although I doubt he'd be useful even without being marked.

He could've also received second yellow with all his moaning, he was involved in that wee incident with Buaben, Sandaza and others. Captain my *, he's prime example how you shouldn't play and how you shouldn't behave.

Get him to *, imposter of highest order.

I must of just watched a different game there,brown dominated the MF and Gomis and Bauben were non existent..

im a big critic of brown but hes was brilliant today

I cant believe there are negative comments on Broony today. That kind of shows some people are just fixed mentally on this matter and can no longer make an assessment. He is always first on the teamsheet for every manager and team he has played for. He is one of those players that football people think is a huge asset but fans do not get it.
