Funnily enough, when he plays for Scotland, he improves 100%. Sell him, then Rangers will buy him off whatever English team, and he'll be a player again. Against us. * it, hopefully our midfield by then can cope

Credit where credit is due, his best 90 minutes in a Celtic strip today for me. I have no idea why some people were slating him and wanting him replaced he was making runs into the box, making forward passes and was getting back making last ditch tackles. He also took the responsibility of captain seriously as well.

    Much, MUCH better.

Better, but still not enough for me.

Horse has long bolted with him in my eyes.

Yes better but still an empty performance for me.

Didn't want the ball, decent tackling, decent passing, terrible shooting and in general didn't take hold of the situation when we were staring defeat in the face.

He is a wasted jersey and when he and N'Guemo play together in the centre, since both are fairly reckless in pressing and not too intelligent, the amount of holes that open up exposing our already dodgy defence is shocking.

Broony is just the latest whipping boy. Played well today. I think he has not played bad since he came back after his ban (which was when he started to look match fit) although he has played within himself too often. He can be more dominant and dynamic as he was last year in his POTY season.

Certainly wasn't watching a different game, I normally sit and slate him but you can't just pick on the guy when he's playing well. He got back to help out his centre halves and took a whack to the baws off Boruc, he bollocked N'Guemo for shirking a 50/50, he burst into the box a good few times and he even picked out a 40 yard through ball to put Keane 1 on 1 with the keeper in the first half (the first time I can remember him doing so in a Celtic strip).

He played well today, no doubt about it.

Its like the thread on Aidan after the well game even though it was his best game in ages. TBH I cant take a lot of fan opinion seriously. Its so skewed by an inflexible perception of a player rather than how they just played.

What you're describing is the minimum requirement for our primary more attack minded central midfielder. The difference is today Brown's shooting was awful, he hardly wanted the ball, and his game intelligence shone through again as pretty awful.

It wasn't a bad performance by any means but saying he played well is only in comparison to his usual headless chicken disaster.

Gunt, you can't just dismiss any bad game by Brown by saying he isn't match fit.

no for me stick him out right thats a problem position for us and his energy should help getting up and down the park

he was never the one making passes in hibs midfield 3 he was always the one making runs and supporting the strikers on the right of the 3

so since we dont play 3 center midfielders stick him out right

and get crosas, or ki in there with nguemo

That could be the answer MagicBallBhoy - he plays well there for Scotland and also takes less positional responsibility on him. Furthermore McGinn had another quiet game. What is it with our club and impact subs?

Your blind defence of him is every bit as inflexible Gunt, especially with statements like:

I think he has not played bad since he came back after his ban (which was when he started to look match fit)
