Lol there won't be many tickets sold for that raffle. Strachan will take some though but then again he thinks Chris Killen and Willo Flood are players.

He is only captain coz Mogga fell oot with our captain, and loaned him to boro, and fell out with Caldwell and papped him off to wigan.

Get Mick back. A decent centre half who will get stuck in, and would kick his granny if it meant celtic would win.

What would Brown do????????? Run about a bit????

He shouldn't even get in our team never mind be the captain. Not tough enough to be a midfield enforcer, not skillful enough to be passer in the middle and not clever enough to time runs to be a goalscorer from the middle.

    Get the imposter tae *!

Yep I'm in exactly the same boat.

I've liked Broony as a player and stuck up for him in the face of criticism but I am now reviewing that position. He needs to get his finger out and start doing the business. He was posted missing on Saturday and for a Celtic captain that is not acceptable when the team is heading for one of the worst results in the club's history.

With plenty of so called admirers down south I would sell him at the first oppertunity providing we get our money back. still wonder if there was any truth in Celtic knocking back an 8 million pound bid? In any case I'd take 4m plus and use it to buy the Spanish defender we were linked with once keane is off the wage bill. He was awsome against barcalona a few weeks ago.

JOHN COLLINS a CELTIC PLAYER, who ripped us off to the tune of £5million, and we are stuck with him as he ain't worth £500,000 no trapping ability, no passing ability, no shooting ability, no positional ability, and when you watch him play you would come to the conclusion
he was looking for his" heed" and they and every player where all hiding it from him as he hares it all around the park as a lost cause

I think the situation with Scotland better reflects the situation he had when he came through at Hibs - he's set-up as a counter-attacking player, nicking the ball then plowing through when the opposition are pushing up.

He doesn't get to do that with Celtic because teams sit with men behin the ball and he's expected to control the game and work his way through, and he's not good enough to do that, either technically or mentally.

Some players are good enough to step up to the expectations and demands of a big club. Scott Brown, like most of this squad, isn't. There are plenty of examples of players unable to make that step up - look at Willo Flood, Chris Killen, Derek Riordan, Barry Robson. All decent enough players, but not able to adapt to make that step.

    1. Scott Brown was voted Players Player of the Year last season. So he clearly CAN play well for Celtic. The fact that he ISN'T playing well just now doesn't mean that he CAN'T.

    2. Barry Robson was a good player for Celtic.

He was touted as the next midfield general when he joined Celtic. He isn't. Never has been, never will be. He doesn't have the mentality, technical ability or the awareness of someone who can run the game.

What he can do, is run people down and charge while they opposition is pushing up. He's a counter attacking player, which suits Hibs and Scotland, but doesn't suit Celtic at all. It's obvious that he doesn't have the mentality or the ability to change his game to adapt, and that's why he won't be more than an average player.

He was a decent player. But he was not the scoring-from-all-ranges Barry Robson that we bought from United. He played better with the more open games and lower expectations of a mid-table side.

And he's reverted back to that at Middlesbrough, where he's scored as many goals in 16 games as he did for us in 42.

Some players just don't have the mentality or the ability to adapt their game to suit the demands of a big club. Scott Brown is a fine example of that.

You might have a point there about Broony. Although that still wouldn't explain why he was able to win the POTY award last season.

Your criticism of Barry Robson is pretty unfair. Barry Robson played in an advanced midfield role and was also given a free role when he was with Dundee Utd, he never played that position for Celtic. He was converted to a central midfielder or a wide midfielder which was always going to mean he wouldn't score as many goals as he had done before. Robson also got to take all the penalties and free-kicks at Dundee Utd which swelled his goals tally. He didn't get to take the free-kicks at Celtic because Nakamura was here. Robson done well for Celtic.

The biggest pig in a poke I have ever seen.

Christ how long will it take before we cut our losses with this guy!!?

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he got the armband after his laughable POTY award last season but decided, against my better judgement, to give him a go.

Scot Brown for First Minister next season. :50:

Time for Brown to go also.

He has had enough chances, which is fair enough, but he just doesnt seem to perform when wearing the hoops.

Captain's are smart, savvy people, in their own way they show attributes of man management, they play the media without getting carried away, realising the only really important matter being what happens on the field.

If Scott Brown was a world class midfielder i would give him a break, IMO he is the stupidest captain of our club ever, overrated player, an embarassment to Celtic Football Club.

If he had the brains he'd stand down from the captaincy and leave the new manager to elect a new one to save his own skin.

Give me Celtic shirt, I will do better than him. Like MON said about Larsson "we've run out of superlatives for him", I think same can be said for Brown, only the other way around.
