 really? why on earth would people do that?

He's playing RM, not his fault i know, and in most games(except a few, today for one) he doesnt really add much to the attack, and id expect a right winger, especially a Celtic right winger(cause we attack alot) to offer something in attack, he doesnt, he cant cross or beat a man, he just cuts inside or runs backwards alot of the time, also for a CM(tradionally) his passing is poor, he was great today, but there are lots of reasons to give him stick, especially the technical side of his game, theres no agenda or anything against him, i cant see it anyway......if he starts playing well consistantly, then people will back him more, just look at sammy, or forster or mulgrew, most people are praising them, cause they are consistant(recently for sammy) whereas brown really blows hot and cold, he has alot of stinkers

but tbf, his determination is helpful with Kayal out

Absolute peach of a goal but apart from that a typical Brown performance. He hassled, he covered a shitload of ground but his passing remains dreadful and he gives away needless fouls based on personal scraps he gets himself into.

Brown was probably our best outfield player today. Was everywhere chasing down because other players weren't doing their jobs.
I still think it's pretty * that basically Stokes has been dropped for Brown, and even Ki, but I think Stokes will be starting more now up front with Hooper. Game totally changed when Stokes and particularly Commons came on.
    Good headaches to have.

Stokes was murder when he came on. Commons was excellent though.

His goal was almost a carbon copy of his strike against the Huns last season, with the 'Broony' celebration and everything. Love it :56:

I agree. Its so baffling. I think the dead giveaway that he is simply not judged the same way as the rest is that football pros, commentators etc praise him in games but when you come to fan sites he is being criticised. He played very well last week, actually even better than today, but he still was drawing negative comment from some fans while commentators on Celtic TV thought he played a blinder.

Thankfully all his managers don't listen to this bunch of fans.

What would be the reason behind people not rating him ?

If a good 15 minute spell in the second half is enough then fine. I think he needs to be more involved than that. Great goal though.

Passing dreadful? He had 100% completion rate until the 80th minute and then did 2 bad passes in the gale conditions at the end. Two bad passes for a very involved player is as good as anyone else in the side.

think this sums him up really. while he works hard, he doesnt really have much to show for it apart from stupid yellows that he really doesnt need to pick up.

You pull stats from thin air gunt, he did not have 100% pass completion up until the 80th minute.

He was excellent today, constantly harrying and pressing, covered loads of ground. And what an excellent goal, although, i got a strange sense of deja vu upon watching it...

Agreed. If they listened to folk like yourself we would have been missing out on a shitload of goals and assists from Stokes who you have an inexplicable and thoroughly ridiculous hatred of.

He didnae even pass to a team mate in the warm up :icon_mrgreen:

Seriously though, I worry when people cannot see the poor side to his performances.

An assist, a cracking goal and a solid all round performance. Top notch.

Until the lay off for the goal i thought he was pretty poor but in saying that the lay off and the goal he scored was superb and if you look at the likes of hooper who does nothing all game but scores and he's the hero them you have to cut the guy a bit of slack. Not my favorite player but today he won us the game.
