This... absolutely ghosted by him... hes finished at this level and just because the rest of our midfield is underperforming doesn't mean Broony is still good enough.

Scott Brown faces a sweat on potential retrospective punishment for the Celtic captain’s alleged elbow offence during Sunday’s Pittodrie thriller.

The Hoops midfielder, on as a 70th minute substitute, was caught on camera appearing to catch Scott Wright off the ball as he tried to block the Aberdeen man at a throw-in in the latter stages of the 3-3 draw.

Wright was seen holding his mouth after the
incident but ref Willie Collum took no action and, as it would be a fast track case, SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte has until 3pm on Tuesday to decide if he will be cited.

Celtic were furious the last time a player was punished retrospectively with with Ryan Christie handed a two-match ban for grabbing Alfredo Morelos in an Old Firm clash last December.

The Parkhead club hit out at that decision, declaring they were "absolutely astonished" that their player had been cited by the compliance officer.

That came after Celtic chiefs called for a meeting with the SFA 12 months earlier after Morelos escaped retrospective action for incidents during the corresponding fixture.

    It's not an elbow.

Players block with their arms like the time.

Broony being lazy to be honest as he is caught flat footed when the lad makes his move. Can see why some think it looks nasty mind.

If he faces a ban then Celtic board should demand answers from SPFL and SFA about * Kent assault on Brown. If no satisfactory answer then complaint should be made to UEFA about the blatant anti Celtic bias by Scottish football authorities.

CELTIC captain Scott Brown WON'T face any action after a clash with Aberdeen substitute Scott Wright.

The Parkhead captain had been sweating over a possible disciplinary case had compliance officer Clare Whyte deemed there had been enough in the incident to warrant a fast track notice of complaint.

But SunSport understands that there was nothing on the tape which worried SFA chiefs and the player will not face any further action.

He is free to take his place in the Celtic squad as they face a potentially pivotal semi-final match in last season's Scottish Cup against the same opponents at Hampden this Sunday.

The Daily Record claimed that the Parkhead skipper was caught on camera appearing to catch the Aberdeen substitute as he attempted to block him off at a throw-in during the 3-3 draw at Pittodrie on Sunday.

While referee Willie Collum took no action, they claim that Wright was shown holding his mouth after the incident.

Both substitutes would have a major impact on the match, with Brown helping Celtic recover from a 2-1 deficit to establish as a 3-2 lead before Wright wriggled past him to help the Dons win the penalty which led to their late equaliser.

I only asked you a question.

You're quick enough to slaughter him. I think that he's needing his game time managed but still has a lot to offer us.
