from the first time i seen him i could tell this bloke has something i kid you not..

trust me he will be a cracking player.. his touch and style is unlike i have seen in a scottish player for a long time, its more continental like

he has no fear also which is a quality you NEED to take on europes best:50:

That's confidence for ye, that's the kind of attitude i like to see in a tim!! :50:

Aye i've got a good feeling about the lad, i think he's got all the attributes to be a top top player for us and his country. A while ago i wasn't all that fussed about signing him tbh, and when i saw the headline 'Middlesbro offer £5.5m for Brown' i thought oh well and on i went.

But since i found out we signed him i've been over the moon. Yes £4.4m is a bit steep, but there's no way we would have payed that if we couldn't afford it or if it meant we couldn't bring in another couple of big signings, so on the balance im chuffed to * we got our man and the huns got a big * YOU!!!! :84::84::84::84::84:

    Brown for captain :fear:

Big season ahead for him and has had a good pre-season.

I think hes given a hard time, to the extent that Celtic fans seem to really dislike him personally. I don't know if this closet hun rumour is still hanging over him or what, but he doesn't seem to be able to endear himself to our fans.

I think his flaws are grossly exagerrated on here and I look forward to his energy in midfield next season.

I've got a feeling he will step up and show us what we paid for this season. Hes not responsible for his price tag - that was EPL interest.

Player of the year i think this year, he has looked amazing in pre season and think Lenny knows how he can play him and get the best out of him.

Needs to lose possession less, improve his shooting and not charge into challenges so often.

All the players that seemed lazy last season have had a good pre-season like Brown and Sami...I just think Lenny has made them pull up their socks and i know at the end of last season lenny told the board that he wanted rid of sami and 4 other players so if thats something to do with it i dont know?

I have always stuck by him, I know there is ability in him, he goes out every game giving 100% and that is something which can't be said for many players last season. Brown must get more goals, 1 spl goal is always going to have people moaning at him, he needs to get more goals and contribute more to the team, I think he will be outstanding this season, I think the brand new midfield could bring out the best in him and take some pressure off him.

i've always liked brown, i remember him coming back from injury under mowbray and he was trying to be a ball player and it just didnt suit him, probably BTM's genius idea :87:

if he could add more goals to his game next year then we've got a player :50:

Price tags don't help because some fans pay too much attention to it when it should really be a bottom line of "Does the player contribute what he should be doing , kinda based on what he's already done in his career and expectation".. I don't think personal dislike is a major factor with Brown or other players , but when they are underperforming regularly (Sammy , Fortune) the personal stuff gathers pace..
If you buy a midfielder who has shown he can control a match then he should be doing that on a regular basis.. If he didn't score many goals at any point in his career then goals are not something Brown should be judged on.. I think Brown has been okay but having not met the expectaion , although Celtic would still get their money back from any sale which I suppose is a bonus..

He actually came back from an injury in an away game in Europe last year against Dinamo as a sub before our SPL season started , playing off the striker and was given praise for turning the game in our favour.. Sometimes it works...

Agree gerry bhoy, hes got loads of ability but just needs to be more consistent and try and add more goals to his game, and with the arrival of juarez i think brooney will get more of chance to attack.

If he can perform for Celtic the way he has been doing in pre season and how he plays for Scotland consistently he will be player of the season no problem!

Big season for him, he needs to stand up now as he has been captain, he knows whats required so lets see it this season Broony Bhoy :50:
