With Lenny back our style will suit Brown again. He will be our best player for the final run in

Thought he was sublime tonight. At the end of his career he will really be appreciated by those that only knew of him as a battling midfielder. That pass tonight shows the other side we all know....

NEIL Lennon marked his first game since returning as manager of the club in dramatic fashion with a last-minute winner against Hearts in the SPFL last night (Wednesday). Captain Scott Brown described the 2-1 win as brilliant, and a perfect example of the team’s never-say-die attitude.

A wonderfully-orchestrated counter-attack was capped off by a James Forrest goal on 35 minutes, before Odsonne Edouard’s goal two minutes into injury-time gave Celtic the winner.

Speaking after the game, Scott Brown said: “For us, it’s a great win because this is a hard place to come to. We knew it was always going to be hard, and once the team goes down to 10 men, they sit behind the ball, and they’ve just got to take their chances on the counter-attack.

“But we played our own game. We lost a sloppy goal, but we showed that never-say-die attitude, we kept going and we eventually get that late winner yet again.”

It was Brown’s ball into the box that striker Edouard converted to secure maximum points and maintain the Hoops’ eight-point lead at the top of the SPFL, and the captain acknowledged the difficult week he and his team-mates had experienced.

Nonetheless, the 33-year-old midfielder has every confidence new boss Neil Lennon can steer the Scottish champions towards further successes at the business end of the current campaign.

“For me, the assist for Odsonne was just about getting the ball in the box," he said. "It was the last couple of minutes, and I’m lucky it landed at one of our lads’ feet and not cleared out of the park.

“It’s been hard losing a top-quality manager, but yet again, there’s another top-quality manager that’s come in. The gaffer is always positive, especially before games, and that’s what he’s going to bring to this team – a different game-plan. Everyone sees the game differently, so the gaffer has been there, he’s done it all before, and that’s why we’ve brought him back in.

“The gaffer is very positive, he just wants to continue us playing the way we have been, and doing the things that we’re doing, and keeping everything similar to how Brendan did. For me, it’s great that Neil realises we’ve been champions the last seven years, and he wants to maintain that this year.

“This win is huge and it keeps us eight points clear at the top of the table. That’s where we wanted to be at the start of the game, and we’ve managed to do that.”

The level of performances he's putting in since the break is phenomenal..

    Involved in everything..

He's chomping at the bit with getting the shots off as well. Was unlucky midweek. Striking them so true again..

    A brilliant showing yet again..
