His passing really isn't as bad as people make out. I've seen Kayal and Wanyama have much worse displays in that respect and nobody gets outraged about it.

He picks up yellow cards - so what? Midfielders will pick up cards. Big deal.

At Ibrox this year he created two goals out of absolutely nothing through sheer desire to win. I'd rather that attitude in my time any day than half interested tippy-tappy midfielders.

He won POTY 2.5 years ago and in his real first period of fitness since then post-Xmas last year he was excellent. That MF with Broony on the right is one of the best things we have seen in the last couple of years.

i watched him against czech republic he was extremly poor and summed up his last few years . the cheek of him to let some agent dictate if he signs a new deal he should be beggin to play for us . he wouldnt lace lamberts lennon mcstay's boots he can * of therese not one team in the PL would have him in their reserves - if hes going to be celtic captain for the next four years you may get used to be useless

hes a mouth piece and would be better taking himself somewhere else

Over the last few years we have been fed a diet of sub-standard players and Brown is a prime example of this.

If it comes down to Sammy or Brown in midfield, then it is Brown all day long.

Brown though has been badly managed by our board. His contract is out in the summer and all the signs are that he wont sign a new contract with us. We should have extended his contract this time last year or sold him in the January window, to recoup some of his extortionate transfer fee.

The board have a bad habit of letting players run their contracts down and walk for nothing. It has cost us millions over the last few seasons.

If he goes on a free transfer he will end up at an EPL club. If Gary Caldwell can play down there then Brown will have no problem getting a club. For most EPL clubs he wont be much of a gamble. There wont be a transfer fee and they can more than match any wages we could offer.

I will be astounded if he signs a new contract now. Could be wrong though.

I'll be pretty disenchanted if we end up losing Broony for nothing at the end of the season.

    Maybe.

Regardless they will offer him a more substantial contract than we will, Im sure of that. Sadly he probably wont be missed and his wages will be freed up, but I like Broony. His celebration on front of Diouf will go down in history. Just think that he someone that "could have been" but for whatever reason he hasnt quite reached the level we all hoped when he signed.

I'd be furious if he went for nothing after we have spent a fortune for very little return.

Says it all that he has been here for years and his most prominent image is of him winding up Diouf.

Captain clown. When they show a list of our great captains, they will all be standing with the league trophy above their heads. Brown will be 'doin the Broony'.
