I hope that the racegoers in the Celtic squad really enjoyed their trip to the Cheltenham festival . No doubts at all , they deserve it after Sunday . I have seen an ex Celtic player several times at the races , usually in the company of top Irish trainer Gordon Elliot . The aforementioned footballer is Willo Flood . I wonder if anyone was on hand to "mark their card ".

 

Heard a good few names people calling their stadium smallpox a good one. I always called it mordor but i seen one on here the other day .stade de bigot

 

That game on Sunday was the best performance that I've ever seen Scott Brown play in the hoops. Especially after we went down to 10 men, he absolutely ran the show. That was a Robert Pirlo performance in the midfield. The experience shone through from a mile away. What a captain, what a player. Seems to have improved dramatically since Brendan came in. And its right that he's packed in Scotland. He needed to get his priorities right.....and he did. Scotland are going nowhere.....Celtic are going places and he made the right decision.

 

Got to love Scott Brown a model professional on and off the field. Good to see him kicking back at the races.

 

The good thing about Brown even as he gets older hes fit as a fiddle and plays smart too, Lennon was never blessed with great mobility.

To be fair - if Broony was a Rangers player I’d probably hate him more than anycunt that I’ve ever seen the play the game.

Pretty surprised about Liverpool considering I thought it was a certainty Broony would pick Hibs to play against.

I'm not complaining about it though. I don't really have 'another' team to support that isn't Celtic aside from Livi, but I have a soft spot for Liverpool since Istanbul when I was a kid. Think that was the first ever Champions League final I ever watched, and it was absolutely mental. If Celtic tried something like that in a European final I'd be in intensive care.

Also I * love Jurgen Klopp and think his Liverpool team is the dog's bollocks right now.

Hope Stevie G makes an appearance at Parkhead.

 

When you think about it Broony could play for maybe another 4 years in our team now that he's packed it in with Scotland. Lothar Matteheus played Brown's position and was 41 when he retired. Brown's got the class to do it too

 

I cant think of any other top flight player whos anything like him in terms of attitude, leadership and sense of humour right now, last of a dying breed.

Maybe James McClean, what other player would get fouled 3 times and spring up laughing.

That’s what we missed in the 90’s against Rangers (1872-2012) when these * had the likes of Ferguson, Hurlock etc.
