SB: "We're looking forward to it. Playing at Ibrox is always a great occasion.

SB: "We always go to Ibrox confident."

SB: "Rangers will try and press us but we are stronger and fitter than last season so we are relishing the game."

SB on being Glasgow Derby favourites: "It’s a hard place to go but a great place to go when you win, our fans will support us in numbers."

SB: "There's been some great battles and we've had some great victories but we can't go their thinking we are favourites."

SB: "We have to show everyone what we can do on the day."

SB: "The games are coming thick and fast until Christmas so it's good that we have a top quality squad."

SB: "We focus on ourselves but respect our opponents."

SB: "The manager was delighted with the Dundee performance but we still have areas to improve."

SB: "It's a huge game. We are looking to get a result."

SCOTT Brown is adamant that Celtic are an even better side now than when they beat Rangers at Ibrox last season and has warned his team will assert their own game in the Glasgow derby tomorrow (Saturday).

The Hoops will look to extend their 56-game domestic unbeaten run when they travel to Ibrox for tomorrow’s highly-anticipated Premiership fixture and Scott Brown says he is hoping to create more fond memories of playing against Rangers.

Speaking to the media at Lennoxtown today, Brown said: ”We’ll concentrate on our own game. We’ll play the way we play and hopefully have a lot more of the ball than Rangers and create chances.

“You’ve seen us over the last season-and-a-half, we’re getting stronger and fitter and better as well, so we’ll take that into the game tomorrow.

“We’re focused on ourselves and nobody else. You have to respect your opponent whoever you’re playing against. It’s a huge game, we just want to go there and play our own game, play a possession-based game, create chances and hopefully get a result.”

The Hoops go into the game having won 4-0 against Dundee away from home with a convincing performance that saw Celtic reach the semi-final of the League Cup. Despite the strong start to the season Brown was adamant that Celtic would go into the game confident, but still expecting a difficult game.

He said: “It’s a hard place to go but it’s always a great place when you go there and win as well. We have great fans who will come along and support us throughout the 90 minutes.

“The gaffer is always pushing the bar as high as it can possibly go. He was delighted with our performance against Dundee in midweek but there’s always room for improvement and here’s hoping we can do that on Saturday.”

Similar performance from him today would be brilliant. Play hard and nothing rash and walk away from them with that grin on his face. If we keep 11 on the park we will cruise it today. They will be begging for the final whistle, our class and fitness will shine in the second half.

Similar situation to last year. All talk going into it but once the balls kicked off, class will show through. Easily the better team and Broony will no doubt set the tone down the middle. Wouldn't mind a goal from the man tbh.

Great game. Steadied the ship a bit in the first half and had a few great defensive plays.

Finest hour. Was treating it like a game against the under 20s.
