    I do think you're correct that he's not our highest paid player but why on earth would he have taken a wage cut previously?

    In fact, I'll tell you right now that's a lot of *.

    When did he last sign a new contract? What age was he? Why would he even be asked to drop a wage? Ffs if you're going to talk *, at least think about it.

    Why would anyone want to make up such utter * though?

    Brown even said he's turned down the epl to stay here. That means he's not motivated by money but there's no way he'd get offered less to stay on somewhere he's captain and sought after. Some people need to get over the fact they never got enough attention as kids.

    Calm down mate.

    He supposedly got a lower wage but more years because he was turning 30 when we gave him his last deal and we usually only give players over 30 one or two year deals.

    Think it was actually on here I read it.

    No chance he'll get done for that. It's not conclusive enough in my opinion and for what's been dropped in the last year I can't see anything coming of it..
