    Another solid midfield display from the skipper. Allowed the players to play in front of him as he protected the back-line. Always looks good beside McGregor.

    His defending was the best I've seen from him, constantly chasing down and pressing. His passing isn't great, I wish he'd stop trying to be pirlo by pinging passing 40 yards up the pitch to Sinclair only for it to go out for a goal kick or a throw in. Maybe he's just rusty can't remember how good his passing was last season, seem to remember him usually playing it simple

    Pretty sure he was one of the top passers in Europe last season along with interceptions.

    Thought he was brilliant last night especially in the early stages.

    Brown with the ball is so slack and technically poor.

    Brown without the ball is brilliant and inspirational captain full of grit, disire and determination.

    The problem that the above causes is in game in Europe when we have time on the ball and loads on possession. However when we come up against the big boys he is brilliant.

    The problem is Broony is the only guy who takes on the responsibility in there when others are hiding, when the guys who can do the killer passes aren't playing * (like Armstong was last night), Broony will do it. When he doesn't need to he doesn't.

    As it was, he pulled off some cracking balls in behind the defence last night. Particularly to Tierney in the 1st half.
