    Between him & Sinclair for POTY for me.

    I was one of the ones who thought he was done at the end of last season so never thought I'b be considering him as possibly our best player this year.

    What a turn around.

    Strange how things turn out. I have no idea what it was that made him come here and not go to the huns, but he is now lauded as a great by some, a legend by others, and yet by all accounts he could have signed for them. How different our attitude would be to him as a person now if he had chosen that route. (im assuming he had a choice)With his character, tendency to wind people up, his brashness etc.....i think its a given he would be absolutely hated in here today if he had gone to them.

    I remember at the time being pretty excited he had chosen Celtic, as he really was a young star in the making, and i dreaded him going to Ibrox, but as it turned out, we got him and they got the other Hibs guy. (cannae mind his name at this time)

    In truth ive never totally rated him since he arrived and have been slightly disappointed in his progress as a player, as i dont really think he has improved the way id hoped, but he has always been decent at worst, and has flummoxed me by his performances this year.

    As it is, 400 appearances is a superb achievement in this day and age and i take my hat off to him.
