I'm not a fan of Brown, simply because he offers very little in the way of real quality and impact...for a so-called " box-to-box" midfielder his goal return for us tells the story for me.

34 goals in 344 games for us...

..for a modern midfielder, playing in the dominant team in a domestic league, that is just not good enough.

    1 goal in Europe...in 63 games

The Captain of Celtic should be better than that.

If you compare with Craig Burley (as much as he is a pure *) just for talking sake - he scored 20 in only 64 games...

Look at Stan Petrov - 50 goals in pretty-much 100 less games ( 5 in Europe)

We need our midfielders to be scoring regularly and having a bigger impact in Eurpoean games.

As much as Brown has an energetic and probably morale-boosting presence, its his lack of quality for me that means we really need to consider finding a replacement sooner rather than later

He's * me off. All he's doing lately is running about like a * giving away unnecessary fouls. I loved Brown last season because he was hard, fair and effective.

    This current guy is useless.

I thought he was woeful today. Incapable of passing a ball any further than 5 yards, and came out second in far too many tackles.

Hopefully he is simply taking time to get back to full fitness, because he's looking a shadow of the player from last season.

To be honest i have never been a fan of his and have never really rated him but have given him credit when hes been due it. what he done to duif was class and hes had a few good games in europe but other than that he doesnt really deserve the praise/hype/wages he gets off celtic

    Never a celtic captain imo

    He's clearly not 100%..

Today was one of the worst performances I can remember from him. Rag dolled all day, passing was atrocious and when that wasn't happening he was pretty anonymous..

I've no doubt his form will return..

Looks a shadow of the player he was first half season and even more so last season. Remember when we would say we missed him in games, well now he is proving a hindrance to our performances. Best to play him through it though, another few games and he should be back to normal I think.

He has been poor recently, he may be due some leeway but he has been declining rapidly for the past year.

He is being outmuscled in challenges, he is giving away silly fouls, his passing is questionable and his biggest attribute of a never say die attitude isn't very apparent at the moment.

Lennon who didn't score much was a fantastic player at keeping the ball moving, the game ticking, playing the simple pass and he was great at nicking the ball. They are different players.
