The Welsh midfielder of Celtic Glasgow Scott Brown, is a market target of Inter and Juventus and according to Itasportpress also Fiorentina are thinking about him. According to last report, the 25-year-old can be signed by Viola Club. His deal with Celtic will expire next summer.

8 or 9 Million, I am not surprised that many Italian teams are going around europe for players they think can fill the Hardman role and scott would fit into it perfectly. Last year Genoa and Lazio had an interest in both Lee Mculloc and Barry Robson

He has to go, there's no place for him in our midfield anymore. Juarez, Kayal, Ki and Ledley are all better choices. But what's sickening is that Ki will probably be dropped when Brown comes back.

Ok, how can you justify that all of the players mentioned above are better? Techincally better, yes, but we don't just need techically better players to win the title, how many better players do we have better than Rangers? Winning this league is about bullying teams and winning the important midfield battle, when Brown play's he hassles teams and gets stuck in and has the aggression and energy we need to win that all important midfield battle. I have seen absolutely nothing in recent weeks to suggest we are better without Scott Brown.

Juarez can't get a game for unknown reasons and we can't say he should be ahead of Brown until he gets a run of games, Kayal is still young and one for the future, Ki has had a very good start but in recent weeks he has been part of a midfield parternship that has been physically beaten by two lesser spl games at home.

Having better players in midfield doesn't mean it's going to work, it's about finding the balance, personally, I think Brown should go straight back in the team as of recently our midfield of Ki and Ledley just isn't working. I wouldn't mind seeing Brown and Ledley, with Brown as the more defensive of the two tracking runners and playing the simple pass to the more creative players in the squad.

I know Ledley is your home-soil favorite, but this is getting ridiculous. If someone needs to be dropped, it's definitely Ledley not Ki. Despite Celtic's recent poor performance, Ki's been the most consistent player, dare I say the best player, in Celtic. :38:

Ki doesn't deserve to be dropped.

    Back to topic.

As a Korean, I rate Brown. It seems like he's very underrated by the most of celtic fans. If he moves to Italy, I think he'll do well.

How many have they actually signed?

The media have taken the fact the Italians aren't as strong as the once where and put 2 and 2 together.

Kenny Miller will never sign for a top Italian side and neither will Scott Brown, they don't have the basic technical ability to cope.

    Maybe they're thinking of Ledley?

Also better in terms of discipline, awareness of what's going on around them, and basic temperament. In fact the only thing Brown has over any of these players, is energy & "dig" - and Kayal has that too, with the added bonus that he can actually play football.

Playing the simple pass is what Ledley is good at, Brown is woefully inconsistent with bread-&-butter distribution. Also, neither of those two is creative. Ki is the main creative force in our midfield, and arguably our best player of late. Dropping him in favour of Brown means that there isn't a creative player for Brown to play the simple ball to, even if he could play the simple ball, which he can't.

If Inter offer us a bag of chips for him, I say jump at the chance.

If the worst comes to the worst, we can always field the bag of chips.

Everyone in football rates Broony except a large core of Celtic fans. Look again at the statistic about our results with and without Broony in the team. Its like night and day. Broony is a vital cog in the team and the only proven CM in our squad who can defend, track etc and who has the balls to survive SPL type battles.

Still annoys me how Brown has been deployed as the hustler in our middle. His best times were behind the striker at Hibs. He was known for his workrate and tenacity back then aye, but in that position, not CM- more CAM.

You can get that for a lot less than £5m.

    True Story.

I like Brown, but he's on a lot of money & like many others in our squad, seems incapable of learning/improving.

I'd sell him at a profit while/if we can. Get rid of his wages & play Kayal - who is better in every regard except Nationality.

By that, I mean he is not brought up in the rough & tumble of the SPL, which Brown as you mention can handle better than anyone in our entire squad - hence the reason for Lenny giving him the armband above the man mountain *.

I am amazed at how people are so sure about Kayal. He did well in a couple of appearances and also had a couple of turkeys. We essentially know no more about him than we did about Donati or JJ after their first couple of weeks. He could easily be another Crosas, Donati, JJ etc. There is no way we can sell Broony and bank on an unknown quantity. Also due to a lot of injuries Broony is not worth what he was a year and a half ago when he had played in the CL and won POTY in the previous few months. A very bad time to sell him IMO.

I think we do need Brown when celtic play, but we also need to accommodate the other midfielders that will complement brown and utilise his strengths. This seems to be a diamond 3 in midfield. Which i think celtic should be playing anyway because we have so much strength in depth there.

A midfield trio of Brown, ledley, Ki, or any other combination of Brown, Ki and chose any of Juarez, Ledley and Kayal, we really need Ki in midfield because he provides that creativity and like Gunt said hes the one Brown when he wins the ball needs to pass it to.

You try and accommodate a special talent not a clugger. If anything should be done to the Celtic midfield it should be to fit in McCourt, not someone who doesn't score or create any goals.

I would sell Brown for as much as we can get for him and be done with it, his fitness is now another massive issue as well and his ankles are now just an excuse for him and his faithful followers.
