I cannot think of a game where Broonie's looked second best even when we have been getting beat.I also believe he would fit in nicely into many of the best teams in Europe. He's the main man.

You wonder how good Brown is now, like if he could play in a team like Arsenal or Napoli or whoever, a good top 20 European team.

There are few better ball winners around, who dominate the midfield as well as him and against any opposition he plays for Celtic or Scotland.

Come on guys, he's not that good. Great at hassling players and winning the ball but his ability on the ball is extremely limited.

It's hard to tell, since you look at Brown and know he's not that great a ball player but it's not like you have to be a great ball player to play there. Some of the best ever like Gattuso and Makelele werent up to much on the ball.

As you said Flamini does it a lot for Arsenal, Fletcher used to for Man U, Lucas at Liverpool, whos that wee * from Spurs the now the English boy, Tiote and Anita of Newcastle, Fernando of Man City, Blind of Man U... these players aren't really any better than Brown and Brown is better than most of them, Blind is a bit different since he's more of a passer and ball player than defensive midfielder but still plays that role.

He was professional last night there was no way Scott Brown would not have picked up a booking, even last season.

He lacks consistency in his passing which just stops being a top top player.

You keep pretending your dying in every post, I said croogle was the biggest * licker but no way he's ahead of you..

You don't think broony could shine in many big midfield's around Europe. More fool you, his energy would be infectious and the tempo we've seen him add in National games and in Europe for Celtic tell us he'd thrive..

Medel noised Johansen up provoked him to foul him and wasted valuable time at important time of the game.

His leadership quality shone through, he didn't do an awful lot of constructive things with the ball though.... definitely helped with the intensity of our game in saying that.

Won't bother with the Arsenal/United/Liverpool nonsense. Johansen and Bitton would be picked by those types of clubs WELL before Broony.

So was Gattuso and Makelele and they were world class. Id actually say he plays in the same manner as Gattuso, Makelele was more a master at positioning and intercepting, a smart player. Gattuso was more of an energetic aggressive player who done the role well through work-rate and battling the same as Brown.

In the UK the now Brown is possibly one of the top 10 defensive midfielders.

Matic is the best and Toure although doesnt really play that role much. Fernandinho, Wanyama and Schneiderlin are probably 2nd best. Theres a few others who are decent Henderson, Mikel, McCarthy and Fernando.

Some others who play there aren't actually very good defensively Song, Arteta, Blind, Carrick, Wilshere, Ki but are good enough ball players to say they are better than him.

Barry and Fletcher used to be good but are past it and Cambiasso is well over the hill.

Then there's others who arent as good as Brown for me Lucas, Tiote, Anita, Mason, Allen, Whelan, N'Zonzi, Besic, Jedinak, McArthur, Cattermole, Bridcutt, Livermore, Huddlestone, Diame maybe Coquelin and Flamini.

He is a good player but suggesting he could play for Arsenal or United is pretty ludicrous. Come on take the tinted specs off for a minute.

Anyway I'm just happy he's here and playing some of the best football of his life. He's matured quite a bit over the last year or so, definitely up there as our MVP.

Pretty much this, sensible post. I mean come on some of you lads need to get a grip, Brown puts in a decent performance and he's being lifted to a level that'd see him starting for Arsenal or United. He doesn't have the technical attributes nor tactical intelligence that's required to make it at that level and that's not bashing Brown because he gives so much but when you see better players like Ki, Wanyama and Ledley only at sides like Swansea, Southampton and Palace how on earth would Brown who's way more limited be at a top four club?

:56: Im not saying he's a great or amazing etc but you wonder how he would do in the defensive role for an actual good team.

Out all the midfielders in the Europa League the now, the closest player on Interceptions to Brown is Granit Xhaka of Monchengladbach who is averaging 1.6 less than Brown which is a lot less considering Brown is top only averaging 4.8 per game.

Brown has made more tackles and Intercaptions combined than anyone.

Brown is the only player in the EL who is averaging over 4 tackles and 4 interceptions a game and is the player with the most combined.
