He played as well last week against Ross County although VVD got MOTM. I have said it before when he is not in the team we lack tempo and his first 20 mins today set the tone for the whole team, maybe not in some peoples eyes the silkiest but we don't function without him. Great Captain.

 

You know what you get from him these days. He gives such energy in the middle it lifts the rest of the team and unsettled the opposition. Really telling that he got black in the 90th minute today. The immature brown would have done that in the first 20 mins. Really proved his worth today. Bosses it

 

I'm often a critic of Brown, and I still maintain his technical ability isn't that great. However, today defined why he needs to be one of the first names on our team sheet. He was outstanding in the middle, motivating and dictating. Very good captain.

 

Outstanding from Brown today. Fully deserved the man of the match award. He owned that game from start to finish.

Hardly outlasted ledley, wanyama and ki. All got glamour moves down south that he would take if he had the chance. Can't see him getting that opportunity because of his reputation (that is false now) and the type of player he is.
