I've been crying out for him to be given a free role in a midfield 3 since he signed.

I remember him excelling when given a chance playing behind a main striker in Moscow before being redeployed in square peg/round hole duty in a midfield 2.

We signed him off the back of his performances for Hibs where he was patrolling the area between the striker and the sitting midfielder, running at defences and harassing ball-carriers. Lo and behold, we start playing him in his proper position and his performance level increases drastically.

He reminds me of Kevin Nolan when he plays in this role. He is fierce, tenacious, quick, strong, tireless and, above all, a * nuisance for the opposition.

:shamrock: Long may the Broony renaissance continue :shamrock:

glad of the goal, and of course man of the match for me JOE Ledley, just goes to show you dont need to spend daft money on players to play as a midfielder should do, but to see the lesser priced players come to fore, is absolutely , fantastic AGAIN BROWN had his moments of bad passing and over use, of the sideways passing, cant fault him all the time, he is looking a bit better against, the weaker teams, but HEH HO,i never thought today's play was going to expose us as much, as it did today. but as this is a brown thread, ill refrain from saying anything more.

It would be difficult to find a better inform Scottish player right now other than Broony. Playing at the top of his game at the moment, long may it continue.

If I can offer you one bit of advice Butch, it's not to let the fame go to your head.

Keep your feet on the ground and don't become a parody of yourself and you'll be grand. :icon_mrgreen:

He hit one stray pass, towards the end of the game. If that is moments of bad passing then I hope you have such a hawkeye for the same thing in other players.

SCOTT BROWN insists the current Celtic squad is the strongest of any in his five years at the club.
But the Parkhead skipper still won't admit that a potential 23-point lead over Rangers would guarantee them the SPL title.
Neil Lennon's men have won 18 domestic games in succession and victory over Dunfermline at home tonight and a win over Motherwell on Saturday would give Celtic that massive advantage over the champions before the administration-hit Ibrox club travel to Inverness on Sunday.
Brown said: "I think it is the best we've played and it's the best bunch of lads as well.
"I've said that since the start of the season.
"We have been getting better and better and getting more confident each and every game.
"But the title is definitely not won until somebody gets the trophy.
"I think it would mean a lot to the lads (to be 23 clear) but it is definitely not over.
"It would take a lot (to lose it) but it has happened before, we have been 10, 12 points clear and we have had it clawed back.
"So there is still a lot to play for.
"We are on a good run and we want to keep it going and have a big game against Dunfermline."
Manager Neil Lennon insists he is targeting trophies rather than records as his Celtic side steamroller their way to a possible treble.
With little doubt as to where the championship will end up this season, thoughts have turned to records and three points against the Pars will be Celtic's 13th consecutive win in all competitions - equalling the mark of Martin O'Neill's side of 2004, in which Lennon was a lynchpin.
However, the Parkhead boss said: "It is something I haven't been aware of but if we can do that then great.
"Martin was and is an exceptional manager and he had a very good team here at the time and to emulate that record would be fantastic for this group of players.
    "But these numbers mean nothing.
"The performances and results mean everything to me, the records don't mean a great deal at all."

Really missed him today, Wanyama didn't have the best of games and Ki is just a general *-bag.
