I don't think he will either. I think he will probably peak at being Hibs manager

I don't know him personally so I can't say if he has what's needed to be Celtic manager after such short spells in management.

But as I guy who thought Lennon was the right man for the job until the very last moment in the Covid season, I wouldn't talk too big :giggle1:

That does sound harsh. The guy was a great captain and I think he definitely has the leadership skills required for a good manager. The question is more about tactical knowledge, coaching ability, man management, temperament, etc. And I don't think we've seen enough of him as a manager to make that judgment yet.

He seems to have done a really good job at Ayr so far.

Lost to Dundee United in the league cup groups, but has won every other match, including a draw against us in pre-season. Won again today.

Hope it continues, I think he done well enough at a really, really pish Fleetwood Town, wouldn't shock me if a SPFL side goes in for him if he keeps it up.

Be great for him if he can keep pushing ayr on and get them promoted, I reckon it could be between them n Falkirk this season. Is mcgeady involved with ayr aswell as a coach or something?

Smashing huns in management just as he did as a player.

Mauling Rhys McCabe's Airdrieonians team 5-0.

Got his Ayr United team playing really decent football for their level. Don’t think they have a strong enough squad for promotion but they should be there or thereabouts.

Not quite sure what Ayr United are targeting. Would always imagine getting into the play offs would be their target. Hard to catch up with the bigger teams in the league.

Agreed. McCabe has actually done a superb job at Airdrieonians too so I don't think many people realise just how good that was from Ayr last night.

Playoffs for me would mark a successful season for them. Clubs in that league with bigger budgets than Brown has at Ayr, but they definitely look as if they're going to * a few noses this season.

Hamilton at home next Saturday for them and that's another great chance for 3 points. Could easily be on 9 out of 9.

Early days I know but he'd be doing some job to get Ayr intae the Premiership. Hope he keeps going as he is, onwards and upwards.

    12 points from 12 with a GD of 10. That's some start.

If a new team were going to get promoted, the time is now. Livi looked awful last year and who else is there that's half decent. Maybe Raith? It's wide open, hope he makes a go of it.

I reckon it’s between ayr and Falkirk this season. Would love ayr to do it though, get Brown and Mcgeady back in the spfl
