I respect this opinion but I think it’s way off.

Ange has shown us he doesn’t need anything between him and his players and we don’t need any inspiration. Brown not being here has afforded bandwidth to others to step up. McGregor, Ralston, Juranovic and so on.

I love Brown for what he was here and even what he’s done this season. It was beautiful while it was but the Age of Brown is over.

We’re in the Age of Ange now. It’s time to move on.

Nah, I think he would provide a day to day motivation on the training pitch that any other coach there just now doesn't seem provide. I think he would be an asset, especially in a tight title run in.
    Edit
It's not like there is a direct choice between Brown or Ange anyway

    I'm in the same boat.

Motivation alone, he'd be worth it. He's achieved everything at us and isn't out the loop knowing what it takes to be in a title winning squad.

He was always turning up to watch the youth teams whenever it was possible.

Would have him at the club in some capacity for life.

SCOTT BROWN is locked in talks with Aberdeen about terminating his contract and reports have suggested that he could be set to hang up his playing boots.

We told yesterday how former Celticand Scotland captain Brown is considering an exit from Pittodrie after Stephen Glass' sacking.

The 36-year-old moved to the Dons from Celtic last summer and was an important part of Glass' coaching team before the manager was relieved of his duties last month.

The Daily Record now report that Brown is set to retire from playing as he explores further options as a coach.

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin was named as Glass' successor and the Irishman dropped Brown from the matchday squad for Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Ibrox - sparking rumours of a fall-out between the pair.

There is yet to be any confirmation from the Pittodrie club who are gearing up for a Premiership clash against Hibs in two weeks time.

Don’t see why we should offer him a role on the basis of him being a club legend. If a role comes up and he’s the best candidate etc after interviews then fair enough. But can’t be giving jobs out for the Bhoys.

Talk of just giving him a job because he was captain is quite frankly embarrassing.

Let him go and make his own way and see if he’s actually any good before we hire him in any capacity.

I agree but that’s what we’ve been doing for years…

    Especially at youth level.

We already tried to offer him a very lucrative coaching position in the youth ranks.

Unless by some miracle Neil Lennon offers him a ridiculous amount of money to go be his assistant in Cyprus, I’d put money on it that Broony will be back at Celtic very soon, and back with open arms \o/

I think the talk of him getting a job would be based on the fact that hes an ambitious future coach, who has worked under a multitude of talented managers, is an ACTUAL born winner, has stunning leadership qualities, knows what it takes for players to succeed, and knows the club inside out.

He wasnt just a captain mate.

And its not like hes gonna waltz into Lennoxtown and sit at Anges desk. Christ, we cant even shift Lennedy or Laptop, so any job would be well down the trough.

His huge experience of WINNING trophies and leading players simultaneously is something that NO ONE in our present coaching staff have. Not Ange, not Lennedy, not * laptop.

If he wants to come and his teeth here, absolutely no issues with it.

Acting like it would be an issue seems a petulant and disrespectful.

Dont get me wrong, i despise the jobs for bhoys culture at the club, and would give my left ball to see the back of Kennedy, but eould you have that attitude if Broony WASNT a Celtic legend? Maybe a mid table epl one? Or a Dutch one?

Well we’ll soon find out what Ange thinks because if he wants Brown here then he’ll be here. I suspect he will choose not to bring him in but we’ll see.

As much as I’d love to see Broony back here in any capacity whatsoever I want to see him go out and develop on his own.

Joining Lenny in Cyprus as an assistant manager or similar wouldn’t be the worst development wise. Experience of football outwith Scotland, and do a lot of the heavy lifting coaching and on the training pitch.

Under a manager he knows well, had success with. As long as he strikes out from that role in a year or two to develop under better managers.

This is the truth, if Ange wants him here and Broony wants to be here it will happen, if not I'msure hebwill make his own way somewhere else.
Jobs for the boys comments are just stupid (not aimed at you), not recognising Broony's talents based on that is ignorant. Hammy's comments above are spot on
