Is it any coincidence that both Ledley and Juarez have played their best games when Kayal has been in the team? :43:

Theres room for both him and Kayal, who I rate but won't go over board until he does it over a season.

I'd rather Brown in there than Ledley.

Its just become the "in thing" to be anti-brown, and as usual, rather than form their own opinions, everyone jumps on the band wagon.

Started the season very well, gets injured, came back from a lengthy spell and settle in fine. Gets sent off unjustly at the close of a game while busting a gutt pressing the opposition like hes just came on 5 minutes ago, and all of a sudden the ref has done us a favour.

Ive heard everything this week "Thank *, I * hate that *".

Its shocking. The guy is more than a work horse, and all it takes is to have a wee clue about football, forget what you've been told and actually watch his contribution, form your own opinion - you might actually realise that he can pass a ball amongst other things.

Regardless, over and above not rating him (each to their own), the personal hatred for the guy ive listened to this week especially is disgusting towards someone who give 110% would run through brick walls for his team mates.

Seems like alot of people want him to fail and will * over any midfielder that isn't him. Calling for Crosas to come back etc. Come on.

"The undercover hun deliberately playing bad" stuff I feel has never allowed him to endear himself to our support. And probably he never will.

While it obviously doesn't help his cause I don't think that's fair or the only reason. Guys like Lambert, Burley, Provan, Dalglish and McGrain have shown your past is quickly forgotten here if you do the business.

I think he is just a very limited player and is not what we were promised when he arrived.

Underrated?? He cost over 4 million. So what would you rate him at then? 8 million. If he cost maybe around a couple of hundred thousand then i would say he is underrated as he probably worth maybe half a million. I fail to see what he has done in his Celtic tenure that has justified such a high price tag let alone be classed as underrated.

Kayal done more in that OF game than Browns done in all the OF games he's played put together, and when you consider Kayal has only played a handful of games for us AND was only just back after being out for months says it all about Brown.

However, he's one a those guys, a bit like sammy, who you think will come good eventually, sadly it sometimes just does'nt happen

If you think people don't like Brown because it's the "in thing" that's fine, but he's been here for years now, we have had time to form our own opinions about him, and I'm of the opinion that in all that time he's simply not shown enough to warrant a starting place.

Even if you just go by this season, Ki and Kayal (from what little we've seen of him) have looked our two best CM's, Brown shouldn't be in ahead of those two.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Ki comes back, if Brown is playing well and solidified his place in the team then great, as long as we're winning I'm happy, but if he hasn't then being captain shouldn't be reason enough for him to start. Lets face it he's not much of a captain anyway.

Fair play. Kayal excites the * out me and im eager to see more of him but most of the people giving Brown pelters were raving about him during his first half season also. I agree being captain shouldn't guarantee you a place, but I feel its more that Lennon sees Brown merits.

I just feel people forget his form before his injury and the run of results we had with him in the side.

Lets see how they perform the second half of the season anyway. Competition is good.

Ki should be in there anyway, then either Brown or Kayal next to him. I personally don't rate Ledley.

I've stated my opinion of Brown a million times.

He's only ever played well with 2 other CM in the team with him, either at Celtic or Hibs and with Scotland

If we are going to play with 3 men in CM then I can see why Brown should play.

If we are going to play with 2 wingers and 2 upfront then we need 2 CM players who are composed on the ball and can pick out a good pass. Kayal, Ki, Ledley and Crosas can all do this much better than Brown, with the only issue being that they don't pressure the opposition in the same way that Brown does. Having said that I do think that both Ki and Kayal now have that in thier locker, we could play either of them along side Crosas or Ledley and have a much better & more rounded midfield than any team with Brown in it.

Good player, good energy, just not as good as Kayal, Ki or Ledley for me. Not captain material either. Mouths off at the ref all day, but doesn't lead the people on the pitch.

in all honesty kayal should have been starting the old firm before brown anyway even if he wasnt suspended, brown would let the occasion get the best of him and potentially get sent off, kayal is cleaner in the tackle and more effective with his distribution and can go forward, his work rate is up there with brown the headless marathon runner 2
