You never EVER heard Boruc shouting?

Mate, you literally look back at most videos of him and he was always shouting n balling at his defence, * he even tried to ring Lee Naylor's neck ffs!

The rest of them I agree with.

Glad we have signed him , he looks a composed keeper and a good shot stopper only critique that i have seen so far is he needs to come off his line more at crosses/set plays and dominate his box.

will give Gordon much needed competition or depending on how Gordon is doing long term we might sign another keeper for no.1 much better than Devries though !

Glad we gave him a deal, he’s eager to impress and will only improve under Stevie Woods and competition with Gordon.

Delighted with that, let’s see what he’s got with a pre-season under his belt.

I think he has a lot of things going for him.

Impressed me since he's been here and has a top attitude. His distribution along with goalkeeping is very good too. Delighted for him what a year he's had

Decent signing, will do a good job. Gordon is still no.1, but this lad seems really good backup and maybe even challenging.

4 year deal- fair play to him, he must be delighted with that.
He’s a decent enough keeper but I think we should be setting our sights a bit higher to be honest.

Not wonderful but I rate him higher than Gordon or de vries. Should keep him as no. 2 & bring in a really good goalie this summer.

Bizarre story and quite a feel good one too. Dundee number 3, went on loan to Hibs and never even played there, yet now just about to win the treble with Celtic!

Is he a Celtic fan too?

    Glad to see him sign.

Likeable guy and a good goalkeeper. Unlucky to have lost his place since coming in tbh.

Brendan likes having Dorus around, I think that's why he signed him - mainly for his presence and experience and to help the younger keepers coming through like Hazard and now Bain.

If anything I think this signing puts serious doubt on the chances of us bringing in another keeper in the summer. Could be wrong but I see us having the same 3 at the beginning of next season as we currently have.

Lad deserves his deal and working with Stevie Woods will only up his game and concentration. Hasn’t let us down. Well done and welcome to the Celtic Express. ChooChoo.

I dont get the issue with making Bain our first choice. He’s only 26, give the man a chance.

SCOTT Bain will remain at Celtic after agreeing a four-year deal with the Scottish champions
The 26-year-old goalkeeper arrived at Paradise at the end of the January transfer window on a loan agreement from Dundee.

His stay was due to expire at the close of the season, however Celtic are delighted to announce that Bain has signed a four-year contract which will see him remain at Paradise until at least the summer of 2022.

Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV immediately after signing the contract, Bain said: “I’m delighted. It’s more than I obviously expected when I first came in. I’m over the moon.

“I don’t think it could have gone any better. It’s funny, there’s a lot of little things that went my way to get to Celtic on loan and then to play the game against Rangers, which sent me on my way to this four-year-deal. It’s been great and I’ve loved every minute of it.”

Bain made his Celtic debut on March 11 in a Glasgow derby against Rangers at Ibrox. The Hoops stopper was given an unexpected place in the starting XI after Dorus de Vries was ruled out through injury the morning of the game.

It was a highpressure situation but Bain was remarkable throughout the game and made several crucial saves which ultimately proved to be instrumental in a 10-man Celtic side’s 3-2 win.

Reflecting on his impressive debut, Bain said: “That game showed the manager everything he needed to know. He said after the game that it’s one of the biggest games to play and it really showed him my mentality and that I could handle being a Celtic player."

He has since gone on to make six appearances for Celtic with three clean sheets and in that time, Bain said he has come to realise the magnitude of each game when you play for Celtic, but he admitted he feels at home in the team.

“There are no small games and there are no easy games here. Everyone ups their game to play Celtic and you need to be on it 100 per cent of the time, in games and training.

“I’ve settled in well with all the boys in the changing room and they’ve made it really easy for me. It’s a great changing room to be in and a great club to be at.

"When you’re not involved you know Celtic’s a big club but it’s not until you’re here that you fully realise the magnitude of it all and how many people have your eye on you.”

Bain’s future may now be secured but he maintained that his immediate targets have not changed.

“I have the same aims that I’ve had since I arrived here which is to improve as much as I can on a daily basis.

“I have all the facilities here, the manager, the staff, the goalkeeping coaches like Woodsy, to reach my full potential. The sky is really the limit. It’s about working hard and putting my all into this club.”

2nd time in a week (Compper thread being the first) I have seen someone post something along these lines...

Rodgers is not signing players on 10k plus p/w "mainly" to work with youth players or to coach. DDV was brought in as #1, simple as that. He had just won Notts Forrest POTY ffs!
