I'd like to give him the chance, but then also go out and sign a competent and upcoming Keeper, like we did with Forster.
With Bain as number one and the 21 year old playing second fiddle and learning his trade before taking over the following season.

Get shot of the pair of Gordon and DeVries

I'd be much happier if Gordon took a lesser role and let Bain step up as No.1. Bains still only 26 himself so having an experienced guy like CG around could help push him on, rather than him trying to mentor a 21 year old when theres massive pressure on him to succeed here already.

Having said all that, I'd still prefer to sign a better keeper than both Bain and Gordon.

BR on @ScottBain_: "He’s shown all the attributes in his short time here. He’s definitely someone we want to keep here long term. Hopefully his representatives and the club can organise a deal for him to be here.

I wish I could meet him in person and apologize.

I judged him by his performance in Dundee, that while good enough for any other scottish team, didn't seem to be something that would be an improvement for us. He has character and motivation to be at a substitute that can offer a challenge to Gordon, if he is happy with that.

I'd be disappointed if he's dropped for Gordon.

I want rid of Gordon and DDV in the next window. Bain as number 2 with someone else coming in as number one.

Dropping him for Gordon permanently just now would be a massive, massive blow to Bain. He hasn't put a foot wrong since his debut at Ibrox, and you should always play your in-form and confident players. We know what Gordon can do, so let's see how Bain performs between now and the end of the season. Barring a couple of almighty blunders, Bain should stay in goal after the Dundee game.

He need to keep the no.1 spot. It's been too long since we have had a keeper that controls his box and come out for crosses.

Thats what I like about him as well, the fact that he actually comes for crosses as well as being a good keeper.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Scott Bain is expected to seal a permanent switch to the Parkhead side in the next week or so. The 26-year-old was signed as emergency cover on the final day of the January transfer window following an injury to Craig Gordon.

The player had been frozen out at Dundee and hadn’t played during his loan stint at Hibs in the opening half of the campaign. However, he impressed at Celtic when called in following a further injury to Dorus De Vries and a permanent switch is expected to be formalised imminently.

Unlucky to have been dropped, although admittedly Gordon has made some good stops lately.

Still, though, Bain trumps him in terms of kicking and ability with the ball, while also being a good shot stopper. Would like to see him get the final 3 league games.

Good news, solid and smart signing by the club. A solid, dependable back up who could probably step in full time.

Still say we need a better starter.
