Done well. Deserves all the praise. Wont get carried away though as Ive seen him let in loads of soft goals over the years

Some say still premature to judge him after just one game. Yet he has already done more than Dorus in just one game.

Very pleasantly surprised by his performance. Love that he commands his box really well. At corners, he was very decisive and everything he did come for he got his gloves on. Its been a while since I watched a game and was pretty calm after we conceded a corner. Craig and Dorus are totally pressured out and are very indecisive at corners and every time a corner is conceded you'd fear the worst. Bain was a breath of fresh air though with his calmness and composure.

I really like this guy. He didn't look stressed or pressured throughout that. DDV is never really the man and Gordon looks a bit nervy at times. I have a feeling this boy would be a great buy should Celtic choose to follow up. What really impressed me was that he really got it.....the fans, the atmosphere and what it was to play for a club like ours. I think that Brendan would like working with this guy as it's his mission in life to make good players better.

There is something in there, he's probably annoyed that they got 2 goals but when you see the defending in front of him for it it's hardly surprising and you can't really blame him for them.

Let's see if he gets more game time before getting to overly excited about him though.

His distribution was excellent too.. knew to give it to Ntcham quickly who rarely wastes a pass.

Ntcham is always available for a pass and you can see him getting frustrated when Gordon or DDV didn't utilise him.

It has to be his jersey to lose now.

Ability aside, which we'll get to see moving forward, he showed yesterday that he has the mentality for the challenge.

And concentration. Two of the biggest things needed in a Celtic keeper for me.-

Ability wise I’ve always rated him despite him having a few howlers before - any young keeper will.
At 25 he has plenty room to develop and in Stevie Woods I genuinely feel we have one of the best in the business to do that.

The other thing I liked about him is he knew when to play the ball short and when to ping the ball long to Moussa or Eddie. He didn’t take any stupid risks by inviting needless pressure on to us which Gordon and DDV are often at fault for.

i was worried about DDV at Ibrokes.. the guy just isn't good enough.
If we can get Bain signed up longterm i think it would be a good move.. Can he be our number 1 keeper in the future? Not sure but he is young enough and it's always going to be tough getting a good keeper who is prepared to be number 2 .. i think Bain might just be prepared to be a number 2 to Gordon as he knows time is on his side.

Good debut.. and he seems to be making all the right sound bytes

I think it would be a risk free bet to give him a one or two year contract as the backup for Gordon and see if he can push for the number 1 spot.
