Supposedly RD never wanted to sign him.

A loan spell at a higher level than the Scottish Championship would be better for him, to show he has the fitness and ability to perform at a decent level.

But St Daibhi said he's pish and no good enough to be here. Surely St Brendan doesn't disagree?

    Really?

    I hadn't heard that before..

Like I say I trust Brendan to make a fair assessment of what's required. And if he decides to send a few on loan I don't mind...

Having trust in how our team is being managed is such a massive relief..

He could be a quality player for us - he's an excellent passer of the ball, plays with his head up and lays on chances for the guys around him. Just the thing to play in a midfield three.

I think he's got massive potential, very calm on the ball, great vision and passing, just a lapse in concentration at times.

Allan has glaring weaknesses and some absolute stand out abilities. He won't get too mich better at the age he is now, however, if you find the right system to get the best out of those abilities he does have and to mask the weaknesses, he'll do just fine.

If his surname is Allan and he plays CM then that's enough to give Big Brendan a semi straight away. :icon_mrgreen:

FWIW he deserves a chance this season, who knows but I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to oust Brown out the team due to his range of passing which is top notch at times(Something that Brendan is big on), he needs more than that to his game though if he's to become a regular.

There is zero chance of him taking Brown's place.

Him and perhaps Rogic are the only two in our side who can split a defence with one pass. His vision is excellent.

I'd count him as a luxury player though and I can't see where he fits into a Rodgers system. If he is willing to work hard and change his game slightly then he might have a future here.

He needs games though. 25 now and I don't think he has played 100 career games?

He's a far better passer than Brown will ever be. Which is a vital attribute for a MF.
