Everyone Scot should support Scotland. If you don't then you should be ashamed and embarassed to call yourself Scottish. If you're narrow-minded enough to let something like seeing Scotland fans do something Rangers fans do (it's not just the huns who do the bouncy you know) then you're really an embarassment to yourself and this country. What tonto was saying is spot on.

But does anyone on here really not support their country?

The Irish aren't to blame here. It's the individuals who think the whole world is against them. Paranoid.

i'm half and half english/scottish, have a yorkshire accent, born in yorkshire, brought up in yorkshire, but don't have anything to do with the english national football team, is that daft?

I wouldnt be so bold as to pronounce shame and embarassment on those who are born in Scotland yet support another country for football.

For example....how many Italians or Indians or Chinese have you had a go at for supporting the land of their fathers at football or cricket, Mark?

    None?

    Thought so.

OK, there are exceptions but I'm talking about wholly Scottish people who don't support their country. If people have a Chinese parent or whatever then they obviously have a valid reason to support their own country. But I think you see my point and you're trying to find loopholes in it.

No loopholes mate. If someone who is a son or grandson etc of an Irish family who immigrated to Scotland from Eire then like an italian family from Palermo say, who own an italian restaurant and cheer on Italy in the World Cup..........they have a basic right and understandable wish to support and want their chosen country to win.

Lets be honest, Scotland arent exactly the most hospitable country to immigrants now anyway are they?

Of cours they have that right. But there are too many out there who are plainly milk bottle Scots who don't follow their country the way they should.

I think its down to the way they have been treated and their fathers etc.

Its hard to forget secterianism and decades of anti -Irish policy in Scotland in the realm of police, employment and football selection.

No, makes plenty of sense. Why would you live in a country you don't like? If you've got a problem with it, leave it.

  16. wouldn't say he talks *, would say he usually has strong opinions though!

    a good point then actually!
understand now, sounded quite racist the way Mark188 had put it!

    :58: bye kids

  18. don't think you should stop posting here, dubs, or the forum would be very poor.

bath bhoy's walked out? thought although it said on his sig, thought he was still here!

Hail Hail's still been in the vBookie.
    didn't know about Stephen.
was speaking to hooperman on his site, and it was nothing to do with the forums being boring.

but it must be serious if so many regulars are leaving, even GM's

and i think if so many members are leaving CM might as well just give up this site.
you been serious about the 2 mod jobs?

Myself and CM won't end the site because some people have decided to post in one forum only. That's up to themselves.

But if someone has a strong view and you disagree with it thinking its ridiculous, it's very petty to simply 'leave' because of it. Like I've said before, a forum is a place for people to share opinions, no matter if they agree or not.

Although on the subject, let's take an example.

You are born in England but your parents are Scottish. Your parents have made a great life for themselves in England, lots of friends, nice home, nice job, etc. You love it too. But you want to support Scotland. Should you move north and leave everything?
