Not one person runs the SFA.

I don't know if he is or not. You'd have to ask him if he supports Rangers. I don't care either, it's not as if he has full control of the SFA.

Just like there appears to be some who actually want them to be abused so they can accuse the whole country of being bigots.:54:

He doesn't run the SFA. You know that, right?

Because you are deciding to try and be literal to a childish insult aimed at the SFA, where we do have plenty of ammo to back up there treatment of us throughout the years. Also if you think the president of the SFA and one of the dinosaurs of our game as little to no influence on it, you are deluded. If you think the likes George Peat and Jim Farry didn't hire like minded people to them, you are deluded.

It is a very Hunnish organisation, just look at how they've bent backwards to try and make a phoenix effort of a club into something legitimate throughout the last few years, never mind going further back.

That's all off the topic, by the way but you are remaining ignorant to the nature of the conversation by choice, to put it succintly, you're trying to act like a * * and succeeding.

Pretty much. Keyboard rebels and their persecution complex. It's embarrassing at times.

    I'm not trying to "act like a * *".

The OP is whining about someone inciting hatred and racism on a country, then goes onto claim the football association of a country is ran entirely by "Huns" - that too is inciting hatred on a country.

Blame the people pointing out the bigotry rather than the bigots themselves.

    We 'want' it to happen.

Nonsense, up there with 'he brings it on himself' when discussing Neil Lennon.

Ignoring the ills of this country and some of the hatred that lies within it does nothing to help us moving forward as a nation.

Like AlbaGuBrath, you can try and pretend that a dogmatic hatred of all things Irish doesn't exist in sections of this country or you could face it head on.

I've said before in this thread everyone is different, some will boo them for there footballing ability and Scotland's lost opportunity, some, like me, won't care as it is their choice but others, not all, but some, will do it through the bigotry that mars Scotland.

Sadly, I think it's a certainty that they will be abused. They were abused in Scotland before, so why wouldn't they be now?

    Can they?

In-depth research, carried out by regarded academics, and endorsed by their peers, can be- not disputed- but in your words 'made to prove anything you want'?! It's another one these I'm afraid :52: :smiley-laughing002:

I'd hardly called being booed 'abused'. Plus the majority on here have stated that they are angry and/or upset simply because they are two good players. No one would give a * if they were playing in League 1 and had chosen Ireland over Scotland.

No, it really isn't. There is a serious difference between an organisation within a country and the country itself. What were you trying to achieve by siggesting he meant Germanic World War 1 soldiers then?

Mate its sometimes better to stop digging. The sfa are bent, but that does not mean we as fans are AND it certainly does not mean, when I boo them I or thousands of others are booing them because they are Irish ffs.

I never said it doesn't exist. Quite the opposite. I said those that would likely hate the two Bhoys for bigoted reasons are the type of huns that hate Scotland.

I've experienced a bit myself. I am completely Irish. I don't however think it's as bad as some make out. And I don't dwell on it as to do so just fuels this boring * merrigoround of patriotic flag waving pish.

Do you honestly think it will simply be boos? I would be willing to bet that there will be a few shouts of "*.....". I don't think the majority on here is a fair reflection on how the rest of the country will view both players choosing Ireland over Scotland.
