This Jackie Mac talk is very boring, he doesn't like Ronny and is loyal to his players and club.

    No big deal.

    Smash them again tomorrow.

SPL can do with stronge clubs and characters.

Perhaps it is just his style of management. To be honest I cant really comment on what he has said as I never read sport in the media. Any Celtic news I will get on here.

Think it's on the thread for tomorrows game a link to an interview with him on STV website. Seems weird to change his style of management though half way through a season just because he lost 2 players.

He now has a significantly weaker team having lost his two best players. He is not the first manager to come to Celtic Park with spoiling tactics. He is there to get results and not to endear himself to the Celtic support. I just look at it as him doing his job as effectively as possible.

We may not like it but we would be quite happy if our team went to Barca and ground out a result. Also if we were playing Strømsgodset I would not expect RD to let past loyalties effect how he does his job.

As an ex player I respect Jackie, as Dundee Utd. manager he is just the manager of an opposing team doing what he is paid to do.

Yeah he's trying to get results but it's obviously not working and doesn't suit his team, leaving out the youngsters who caused us problems several times this season. It's just I never thought that team would effectively devolve to near a level of hatchet men when things don't go their way. As I said it's more disappointing to see them play like that because we have seen what they are capable of.
It's more the way they have acted off field, running to the media and trying to play mind games or just moaning for the sake of it.
Their players are coming out with pathetic comments, i'm sure most managers would tell them to shut it but it seems they've all been spurred on to talk * in the media, that's 4 of them now that have said the refs are against them etc, they don't do * irony at all that mob.

There is no evidence that Jackie is telling them to go to the media. I dont think any manager would tell his player not to go to the press in support of his team.

Do you not think it possible that the SMSM are manipulating the players to blacken our clubs name? Is it not more likely the media approached these players rather than they were sent to speak to the media by Jackie who then insisted there story was printed.

Well he certainly hasn't told them not to which is basically encouraging them from my point of view. Aye the media are wanks and love to throw * in our direction at every chance but the United players that have spoken out didn't any encouragement from the media to slate our team, manager and make excuses about the ref etc.
None of our players have went to the media and said the United keeper should of been sent off and the ref was against us, the constant diving, the SFA rescinding everything including a boot to the head. That I think is down to Ronny and the PR department saying no don't speak to the media.

It's only been Ronny in conferences bringing up the problems.
The * decisions have been split pretty evenly to be honest just the SFA have * the appeal process.
And Jackie who apparently has no faith in the system is also exploiting the system to his advantage.

I know you don't agree with much of it and some of it is conjecture but to me the manager is in charge of the players and giving them a free rein to talk * in the media and play mind games because they know we will spank them on an even playing field every time.

Thats his job he is not employed by Celtic anymore. Jackie is not an independent pundit like Sutton and is saying what he is saying to get his team an advantage. The way I look at it when he played for us he gave his all and now that he is employed by DU he is doing the same. Maybe some of his methods are foul but this was also the case when he was a player.

As regards other DU players and the media we can only guess. My take would be:

    SMSM Journo/hun rings up Paton
SMSM hun "Want to complain about the ref or smack talk those fenians.
Paton "Yeah what do you want me to say"
As I have not read any of the stories I do not know how the rest goes.

Should Jackie put a stop to this? I dont see the benefit for his team in doing so. That he does his best for his team for me is a sign of his honesty. I do not want any favours from him unless he goes on to manage us in the future.

Yeah that's the way I looked at it as well that off course he is going to be biased but it's bordering on delusional at times with some of the comments and just coming across bitter. There is no respect there, not even minimal it seems.
Ronny is letting the team do the talking on the pitch, for a manager who's team is struggling Jackie should have his players concentrating on the games and training not refereeing decisions. Only time they should is when the appeal comes up.
Don't want any favours either we don't need them or want them.
As for him managing us he still has a lot to prove, plenty of potential though.

:50:I get where you are coming from. I have not read any of what has been written and thats the way I like it. My opinion will only come from what I have seen Jackie as a player and as a manager.
