We're now moving into NFL-style levels of expenditure.

Mind blowing money. I hope this continues untill fifa have to step in and make all football fairer for every league. This might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back that's been badly needed for a long time! I'd love to see that prem league go bust.

I agree the Saudi league is disgusting, I hate how money has ruined football, but I don't think Mbappe has the kind of money yet where he can basically set up all his descendants for life

 

At least they are investing in their own country, unlike other bazillionaires who simply aquire assets abroad (contradictory I know considering they own other clubs, but ye get the point).

Saudi Arabia has 4 teams competing for the title. 3 of them are trained by a Portuguese coach and the 4th is close to soon be announced (4/4). Jorge Mendes is the real winner here.

Imagine spending 1B on a player just for him to be trained by Jorge Jesus.

 

I find it more eye opening that 4 of the top clubs are all owned by the same financial outfit.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is a way of getting European fans back on board with a super league - with the Saudis doing something similar to the golf and forcing Uefa into a merger/revamped CL.
