The simple fact of the matter is that Sammy isn't suited to playing in the SPL today. If you look at the vast majority of his goals, they're scored on the break. With *-near every team playing 11 men deep against us, that's an awful lot of players for him to run through, that's why you get him cutting back and getting lucky on occasion but more often then not running into trouble. That's why he looked class against the huns is that they're the only team that actually came out to win the game. I think he's a class player and you put him in a league where the team he's on isn't expected to win every game and have the opposition just play for a draw and he'll do well.

I really want to see sammy playing on. He has scored some very important goals for us in the past...have people forgotten his goal against dinamo moscow which virtually secured european football for us? He also seems to perform really well in Olf Firm derbies. When was the last time a celtic player scored 2 against rangers at all let alone at ibrox? He was absolutely sublime that day and his qualities shone through for all to see. We have a quality player and we need to embellish him and work to his strengths. He is obviously passionate about the club and I hope he does the same against Rangers in the Scottish Cup. OOOH AH SAMARAS!:84:

Hardly great? Balls more like. :86:

Samaras is pish against Rangers and has let us down in umpteen Old Firm derbies. I really think some people have let their judgement be seriously clouded by what happened at Ibrox the other week.

:50: not me mate, as I've said on here before fair play to sammy for his performance against the huns but he's used all his life lines at paradise for me, time to go at least he has the opportunity to leave as some sort of a hero for his performance in the huns game, and quite rightly so he was outstanding.

Good luck else where Sammy, but you're times up at parkhead as far as I'm concerned :bbpd:

And quite rightly so, Celtic fans are the one of the most passionate in the world about there club, accepting a player like sammy is hard. Most fans, pundits even Lennon will admit Samaras doesn't turn up some games and doesn't put in 100%, well mate that's not good enough in the hoops and never will be in my eyes. He can go and play for a club that will accept his 1 in 10 good performances.

Seeing is believing mate. Very few strikers could have performed the way he did at ibrox. He isnt he most consistent of players but its clear he has alot of ability and he is only 25 years old. He plays every game for Greece and played every one of their world cup games. Im sure they wouldnt play a striker whos pish in every one of their games. I say give him a new contract :icon_mrgreen:

No its not...but I think hes a young player with alot of potential. He's not as bad as people are making out. Hes a confidence striker and im sure if celtic fans got behind him, as they did at ibrox, his performances would improve alot.

He does it too few and far between for me. He is very frustrating due to his undisputed talent but fails to deliver time and time again.
he had his day at Ibrox which was brilliant but I think his style would be more suited to mid table or lower premiership or la liga where the team plays counter attacking football, as when a team sits in against us, (which is quite a lot e.g boxing day v St Johnstone) he is hopeless.

I don't think the attendance lately can justify this??

it depends on how bad the injury is, if it's a slight hamstring strain then there is no reason why the wouldnt sign him
