I'd go out on a limb and say he'd bang in the goals wherever he moves if he does. He must stay, in my opinion he is our best striker.

    Our best striker? :56:

I think you better go and have a look at the goalscoring charts mate. I'd take Hooper or Stokes over Samaras any day, they're far more of a goal threat than that big blouse is.

17.07: Johan Mjallby wants striker Georgios Samaras to stay at Celtic and claims they are in talks over keeping him. He said: "The club and Sammy are in talks. I would be delighted to see him stay. He's on form again. He's one of those players who is a bit of an enigma.''

I'd rather he signed the contract, everyone's a winner that way.

He goes back to his usual frustrating self then we punt him and get money for him.

He keeps up his Ibrox form then we're laughing as he can be a great asset for us if he keeps that up.

Cant expect to get a 3 year deal or something like that, just because you have scored 2 goals vs the huns.. as someone else said in this thread, he have to show that hes worth a longer deal then 1 year..

Cash is king, get the cash while hes worth anything.

Would like to see him stay but if we get offered money for him then i'd sell, if he's still here come February without signing a pre-contract with another club then i'd offer him a fresh contract and see if it can be resolved.

He was never ever ever close to becoming a "Celtic great". Never ever.

I disagree. Samaras is a Celtic great.

He plays for Celtic and he grates on my nerves.

Maybe Hooper and Stokes score more goals, which granted is the strikers job, but i'd say Samaras offers more overall, like i said it's only my opinion.

@SkySportsJamesP:Skysports.com understands that striker Georgios Samaras has not turned down a contract extension at Celtic as he has not been formally offered one.

Pointless sammy leaven, means we will need to sign two extra strikers and I can't see that happening, I also think, murphy isn't even good enough for back up.

i would rather have sammy than murphy.
murphy isn't a footballer and i would rather keep sammy and get rid of this imposter

I personally think this is good news for us guys. We can get another excellent striker in to replace him, someone who's going to be a lot more consistent and reliable, even Rasmussen would be better.
