you're off your nut, sammy is one of the most loyal players at the club.

 

I'd be disappointed to see Sammy go, yes he's frustrating at times and all the rest of it, but the lone front man role I feel suits him, or playing alongside with someone, he's wasted on the wing, plus we'll be hard pushed to find a player of his calibre unless we spend upward of 5-6 million which I can't see, we will need to spend but how much we do remains to be seen because personally I don't rate Stokes or Murphy at all and we cannot rely on Hooper as our only goal threat up top, I think there's little chance in us getting Keane and personally I don't think he'd sign for us on a permanent basis.

Skysports.com understands that striker Georgios Samaras has not turned down a contract extension at Celtic as he has not been formally offered one.
The Greece international is out of contract in the summer and it had been thought for much of the current campaign that this season would be his last at Parkhead.
Following Celtic's 2-0 success over arch-rivals Rangers, a game in which Samaras scored twice, it was thought the Bhoys had put a new 12-month deal on the table.
However, skysports.com can confirm that Samaras has not received a fresh offer from Celtic despite ongoing discussions, let alone turned down the chance to extend his Bhoys stay.
Samaras is available to speak to clubs from around Europe over a Bosman transfer and Serie A club Lazio are believed to be interested in his signature along with clubs in Germany.
Despite the speculation Samaras has an affinity for the famous club and would be happy extending his stay and even seeing out his career with the Glasgow side.

sammy will be a bigger loss for us than miller will be to rangers.

Don't want to lose Sammy. He always does something, unlike Murphy which is like only having 10 men. Or Stokes. Sammy always gives 100% and plays for the kit. If he goes to Italy or Portugal whereever he'll be a sucess.

 

If Sammy wants to go we shouldn't stand in his way.No one is irreplaceable. We can always find a suitable replacement.

 

I respect the guy for his effort and loyalty, it's all appreciated but football is a performance and result driven game and far too many times he didn't perform or deliver.

Some of you's are absolutely unbelievable. Just because it's in the Daily *' Record doesn't mean it's true - SSN have rubbished it. He hasn't been offered a deal yet ergo he couldn't have possibly rejected a contract. Calm the jets.

I cant blame him at all a 12month contract for a guy that took a massive wage cut to come here and remain loyal... alot of footballers are just after the money these days ie jimmy bullard and so on.... i hope we can give him a longer deal his peak is deffinetly ahead of him as he is still a young player! get your act together celtic

no that i rate sammy that highly but at least he can score goals and if consistent will always be a threat

 

I cant say that this guy hasnt been loyal...look at the amount off knock-backs he has had in his hoops career so no matter what his decision is i wish him all the best He's a top guy!
