Sammy - 1 last chance

He is the best striker we have it would make no sense to sell him. Ive always been a big fan of the guy so Im hoping that we do keep a hold of him. If he stays fit and his confidence is up he could be quality for us this season.

 

i dont like sammy hes fae to inconsistent far to many mistakes and dosent deliver 9 times out of 10 dnt think fortune is anything special we i think rasmussen when hes fit will be gd and a striker like mcdonald??? whould be perfect together gutted when he left was the time of goal threat we needed

 

no punt him! ok he has done well in the last 2 pre-season games sure? but will he keep it up? dont think so get rid and use the money from him to get in a better calibre of player.

 

Don't think I could stomach another season of Sammy reverting to type regardless of this "confidence" issue that people are more than happy to make excuses for..

 

I hope he leaves ASAP to a club who will appreciate the player. Somewhere in Serie A or to Hercules in the Primera as has been reported.

Sammy plays better away then at home in front of booing home fans, and cops ridiculous flack for stuff like his "hair". The British game has never suited the big fella. I just cant believe he still pledges himself to a fanbase who cant stand him.

 

Good player and he's already earned his chance in the first team. But not incredibly bothered if he's sold.

 

I think that's a load of crap. I have long hair, and seriously, if any team has been open to long haired players over the years, it really is Celtic, and will continue to be. Henrik Larsson(with dreadlocks), Jorge Cadete, Johan Mjallby, Stan Varga, Paolo diCanio, Regi Blinker, Paul Hartley, Evander Sno, there's so many, and Celtic are a club whose fans certainly don't discriminate against a player for this. In fact, if anything, if he's good, it tends to add to their love of the player. And for Celtic fans, that REALLY is all that matters-if he's good.

 

See after tonight, think I would be willing to give Sammy until Aug 31st to see if he can maintain form. He has played very well; more dig and fight in his game, but we'll see he can be consistant.

im not a big fan of sami but hes havin a great pre season so i think we should think about keepin him but if a realy gd offer comes in we must sell him

 

brilliant again tonight. i have no problem with him staying. he gets unfairly treated by the majority of fans!

 

Hes playing with confidence last few games, I really do think hes one of those players who needs told hes doing well else he puts his head down and plays terrible. Maybe Lenny can get the best out of him.

 

did anyone else hear before lennon was apponted manager that samaras said he would leave if lenny was appointed manager because he believes he was used as a scapegoat for the ross couty game

 

missed his share of sitters tonight with no idea how to drag defenders around to open up space. forrest is driving down the flank and sammy just jogs behind doesn't seem to be in any hurry to get in the box. he missed 2 sitters tonight and as usual if he gets bumped, he spits the dummy, throws his hands up and takes himself out of the play. i've got no time for him. i hope some club just raised the amount that they'll pay for him because i'd love to see him go. so frustrating

You can't just ignore what happens in pre-season or training...

 

alot of teams were not sure how to play against him last season from what i seen at the home games, dunno if that a good thing, pre season means * all, if you cant perform against kille and falkirk and the like * off,

too erratic, too unpredictable, sell whilst we can in my opinion, i hope to be proven wrong though
