A toss up between Brown, Loovens and O'Dea, in my opinion.

Honestly if we can get anything more than 1.5 million for him, its time for him to go.
I think he really loves Celtic and I really think he tries, but he REALLY LACKS a footballing brain.
4/5 games he looks like a chicken with his head cut off out there. Might as well not even have a striker.
He does however seem to know how to connect with other strikers and he's not bad at crossing the ball.. Maybe he should be a winger instead? I have no idea.
I used to really love sammy until the middle of the 2008/09 season. Everything after that it seemed like he was almost always rank rotten, but I think the way the fans have been abusing him has contributed to his decline in thinking ability on the pitch and confidence.
I say sell him and bring in someone from Eastern Europe or Africa who won't cost us a fortune.

i wanted sammy to go at the end of last season but now after watchin last nites game i am unsure :31: he frustrates me so much then plays outstanding last nite which makes me want to give him another chance. Maybe lennon is the man to get the best out of him because he wont let him slack :50:

I keep reading comments 'sell him too inconsistent'....<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

If we had to sell every player who was inconsistent we would have no team....

Apart from the players who haven't played regularly....

i dont think we will ever understand sameras, sublime, then shocking.

if he was more direct and put himself about stayed in his position he would be useful but he seems to do his own thing. if he continues this season like the last one id sell him, but he aint any worse than murphy thats for sure..

always feel sorry for him, he gives 100% every game, put he normally doesnt do very well. but hes a player that wants to play for us and has a lot of potential so is definatly worth keeping.

i think lennon will bring the best out of a lot of our players

We've got nothing to lose by keeping him, he's still young only 24, he can only improve, the World Cup seems to have given him a huge confidence boost, and maybe Lenny can get the best out of him to reach his full potential.

On form he is very similar to Diego Forlan, not necessarily quality wise, but he has a similar way of playing the game.

samaras is a player i cant stant not becuase he is useless but because he is useless most of the time but sometimes he looks unplayable. he clearly has some ability but to often it is lacking.

He is always on red hot form at some point in the season and then just goes downhill. Remember last seasn when we wnt to Fir Park and won 3-2 and Sammy scored a wonder goal that day? That is what he has to keep on doing, consistency is the key

Agree With Above Post, Don't Think For 1 Second Hes In It For The Money, He Does Try Hard And Has Alot Of Heart. But For Me He Just Doesn't Cut It, Just Don't Think He's Good Enough and Definitely Not Consistent Enough To Stay In The Squad

the biggest problem with Samaras is it seems he wont be given that chance by the FANS! No matter how well he plays be it 2 games or 3 months some folk dont mind if he plays a stinker or makes a few wrong moves so they can slate him. We all have players we are not too keen on, but should really try to keep the displeasure to a minimum.
The 'support' that comes from the stands can be our biggest tool to influence our team however some of the stick dished out at games (not only to Samaras, but others too) makes me feel sick and saddened. The pathetic self proclaimed title of 'TBFITW' is laughable.

When this guy plays on top form he more than a handful. If we can encourage him along with all the players i must add, he could really do well for the team. When he plays well i cant think of too many other players in the squad that can be as effective.

I watched him against Argentina in the world cup as a lone striker and had a great game, then his next game was against man u and again played terrific out wide left. these games helps so much for his self confidence, you can notice it.
hes got so much going for him hes tall, great turn of face, decent skill (yep on occasions his touch may let him down) hes only 25 and his best years are ahead of him. i think he is hungry, and wants to be a big big player for us and we should give him all the encoragement we can.
