I agree that he would be a good player to bring off the bench, like he was last season, but when VOH is fit, he really has to start with Skippy.

Does that make BOYD a top quality striker then ?

I seem to remember this time last year when he arrived a lot of people were rubbing their hands together as prior to him coming in on loan the same threads were appearing about JVOH.

All players have good and bad runs of form. Fact is the guy has been scoring goals albeit it not as many as any of us would like but then he's part of a team and to be perfectly honest if anyone of us can pick 4 players from the first 11 who are at the moment playing at the top of their game, you're a better man than I am.

Spot on FeedTheBear:50:Every player has bad spells! And even when Sammy isnt playing well he always gives his best and i think Jan coming back will only spur him on even more and im sure in the coming weeks the 3 strikers will all be banging them in.I actually cant remember the last time we had all 3 fit.

I'd rather have a guy that scores 40+ every season and does nothing rather than somebody that runs around all the time but scores about 10 times.

boyd has a magnificent spl goal record and at the end of the day only goals count.

It does Tamster, goals win football matches.

Until such times as Boyd is found out then he is a top quality striker because his goals/games ratio is unbelievable.

Boyd is far from a top striker, More that two thirds of his goals have been against the bottom 6, I would'nt be suprised if the majority of Sammy's goals have been against lesser opposition also.

That argument isn't that great tbh, goals win points, points win leagues.

If you remove Boyds goals Rangers are *, if you remove Samaras' goals this season then so are we. It doesn't matter if its against Rangers or St Mirren.

I think it's a myth that he's clumsy and lazy - he put in more effort than Skippy imo today.

He had a decent one on one saved well but where was the service today? The 4 midfielders may as well have not been playing tbh.

Oh wait there was the obligatory Hinkle lump ball from the half way line that I've yet to see a goal come from this season. Why why why

First touch is not even funny. Whatever happened to his pace? He used to be able to run at defenders but now he is like a tortoise!

Skippy + JVoH are a good partnership. Notice that Skippy scored about 5 minutes after JVoH came on?

Lies * lies and statistics etc

    This season:
    Samaras - Played 15(8) Goals 14 - 0.6 goals per game
    MacDonald - Played 23(3) Goals 8 - 0.3

Throw in the sub appearances bias in favour of Macdonald........
