    I wasn't sure about actually signing him until we checked other options. Obviously it looks like there wasnt too much happening with other strikers available so this is a total steal. Considering Man City payed £6 million for him (I think)...

    I wonder if say JVoH was out of the team how many goals Sammy would get us over say 30 games....

    Skippy is more talanted as he has better finishing ability in my opinion does well in the air for his hight, holds the ball up better & his 1st touch is miles better but if Samaras can get the ball under control quicker he would make a good partner

    Good signing I think. If those numbers are right 1m up front and maybe another 1m based on performances then credit again to Lawwell on another good job financially. Samaras I thought played an important role in us winning the title last season and at 23 there is a lot of potential to build on there. Gordon Strachan has so far in his time at Celtic shown himself to be quite adept at bringing on young talent and lets hope he can do the same with Samaras and well we may end up with an absolute bargain on our hands.
