There were worse performers in the side.

He started very well, best player on the park in the first 15 minutes and he also created the goal. He was his typical lack of urgency self in the second half but he still contributed more than a number of others.

I voted no. Although he wasn't as bad as others, he was still far too sloppy. He did get the assist for our goal but that was one of few good points.

Think people need to tale a closer look at the managerial/coaching side of things and not the player. I'm not a Samaras fan, but don't think it's right to constantly blame him for our dire performance yesterday. Malby is quoted as saying we were the better team - if that's the case we have very serious problems - what game was HE watching!!!!

Ask yourself who's decision it was to play Samaras and drop our top scorer? Stokes didn't even get on. Crazy!!!

He is getting a lot of criticism because of how frustrating he is, he gets the ball makes a good run takes it past a rangers player looks up see's the player out wide doesn't make the pass instead turns around and loses the ball, always seems to do the hard bit then cant pass. also when for whatever bizarre reason Celtic tried to play the long ball Samaras wasnt putting much effort into winning the ball imo.

however none of the players deserved a pass mark really other than Kayal and Wilson.

No one in that team yesterday were any good. So why does Sammy get the brunt end of it? He was one of the best of a bad bunch, and he set up the goal, so can't have been that bad.

it seems to me that because he's a likeable big guy people keeping wishing him to do well and make excuses for his erratic play, as i myself have done in the past, but the truth is i dont care if a striker is likeable, i care if he scores goals and creates goals, sammy is failing to do his job

He was playing *. The problem is, he holds the ball too long. He must pass earlier

I felt he was back to his frustrating best, he picked up the ball in some good areas but jus seemed to hold onto the ball to long when there was a pass on and inevitably running into a cluster of blue.

I am not one to usually slag players but yesterday him and Hooper were not at the races, don't know if Hooper is fully fit or what.

There was a lot of big players who didn't play as well as we know they can and its harsh to once again give the brunt of stick to big Sammy!

Whether people like him or not, he has got the class but never got the form. His form is always out the window and it only jumps back in whenever he feels like it. The way he performs for us just now is terrible, he's never fit to wear the Celtic jersey with performances like that.

This is not just about yesterday. That is why Sammy is singled out. As a striker it is his lack of goals in all games that he has played that is the problem.

He's an easy scapegoat after a bad defeat. To be honest he was probably above the average level of performance of the team. Golden bhoy Hooper was worse as were many other players. In my opinion the guy could do with a bit of support for a change.

He might not have been responsible for yesterdays defeat. But as a striker his goals to games played ratio is just not good enough. He does not provide a satisfactory number of assists either.

Cant believe we gave this idiot a new contract, stokes should b in the team in front of him every week i dont think its a coincidence that the teams perfomance drops when hooper and stokes dont play together, i thought lenny would have learned this the last time he broke the partnership up :31:
