Samaras or McCourt?

Samaras. Today was different when he came on but too often there's no end product from Paddy. If he released the ball sooner more often I'd prefer him but he tries to do it all himself too many times for my liking.

 

there is no reason the 2 of them cant play at the same time. use Sammy in the midfield he will drive forward more than ki or kayal , and is not bad for the odd header. with McCourt and Forrest both wings plenty attacks and balls played about the dee area for STOKES back and front post HOOPER in the penalty area

 

McCourt although neither would be in my strongest starting team

 

McCourt, always McCourt, absolutely love watching him play :icon_mrgreen:

 

Both so different in many ways. How about commons for paddy?

 

samaras and mccourt can play in the same team. the 2-0 game at ibrox last season showed that, as both performed brilliantly that day.

 

Paddy but i like Samaras too, the day he put Rangers away is one of my favourite Celtic memories!

 

samaras then bring paddy on last 20mins.

 

Sammy

 

If it was between 2 of them to start the game i would pick Sammy but if it was between the 2 to bring on in the last 20 minutes then McCourt will make the bigger impact.....

 

Samaras. When on form he's better than Paddy because he is a team player. You very rarely see Paddy at tracking back to LB or RB.

Paddy for me is a brilliant 20 minute player. 90 mins no chance.

 

Its a tough one

On one hand you got Paddy with his skill, vision and great shot but then you have a player like Samaras that can't pass the ball to a player 5 yards to his left.

 

Pretty much answers everything.

 

I chose Sammy, cos McCourt is best when is comes off the bench and runs at tired players. If he starts games he is less effective cos he cannot run at players when he gets tired.

 

Neither as a starter.

Paddy over Sammy though.

 

Samatas. The McCourt love affair is the only reason Sammy isn't winning. McCourt is an impact player never a starter.

 

I feel Samaras can offer more over 90 mins than McCourt can although as an impact sub I feel Paddy is the better. In an ideal world I'd play Sammy for 60-65mins and then get Mcourt on fresh as the other team is starting to tire a bit to give more of a chance to work his magic.

 

McCourt started on Thursday and done next to nothing. He came off the bench yesterday and helped changed the game. Says a lot

 

that's only one example although he is generally more effective when brought on.It's a hard one to call as Lennon doesn't start him enough.
