for the squad, hes good, for the club as an ambassador he's good, he does well for parts of the season, considering what we paid for him i think hes definatley worth keeping, you dont get many players like him who are foreign but still love the club, big jan was the last and no i think samaras is the only foreigner at the club who really has feelings for it, cept for boruc.

Whether your one of the Samaras haters or lovers you surely must agree it's time for him to move on.

We need to rebuild on solid foundations, we need players that perform well nearly ever week, I don't think anyone would disagree that Sammy doesn't come to play in ever match

    No he's not

GEORGIOS SAMARAS has slammed the door shut on a £2million move to Serie A.

The Celtic striker has been targeted by cash-rich Sicilian's Palermo.
Samaras last night said: "I am not open for talks with other clubs because I am very happy in Glasgow.
"I have heard some talk, but nothing else.
"No one has spoken to me or my agent.
"To be honest with you, I am NOT looking to leave Celtic. I have a year to go and I am not looking to leave for Palermo or anyone else for that matter.
"I also believe we can achieve great things next season.
"My focus for now is the World Cup and after that I will return ready for pre-season with Celtic."
Palermo are weighing up a bid after sporting director Walter Sabatini flew to Glasgow last week to watch Samaras and Rangers rival Kris Boyd.
Greek ace Samaras is understood to be surplus to requirements at Celtic.
Sabatini said: "Samaras is a strong player who has improved a lot by playing in different football environments.
"In some ways, he has been a football nomad, but he certainly has a lot of qualities."
Ex-Celt Massimo Donati has also given his old team-mate a glowing endorsement.
The Bari midfielder said: "How do I think he'd do in Serie A?
"I think he would be fine because of the qualities he has.
"In front of goal, Georgios does well, but probably not as well as he should for the natural ability he possesses."

I'd try a sly bid for Bresciano as well, probably wouldn't get him but considering Palermo accepted a €5 million bid for him from Man City last year maybe Sammy + €3m could tempt them.
