The stick Samaras takes is unreal, he wasn't even close to being the worst on the park last night, but the way some people have came out since then you'd think he'd lost us the game or something.

Most players need to make a few glaring errors before fans start having a go, Samaras it seems though just needs to not play brilliantly and people will call for his head, it's madness.

I agree there but there is certain aspects of his game that deserves keeping around, he isn't a highly payed player and he is still only 26. Decent goal scoring record and a very good option when it comes to games we need the ball to stick up front because he does that brilliantly.

The problem is he can't play against the teams that like to sit back in there own box and defend, he doesn't have the decisiveness or the speed of thought for it.

Samaras has showed that he can change his game at this age, he's staying in the middle. Hopefully he keeps it up.

I've always stuck by Samaras, thought i had lost my patience with him though this season until the new year game, when he was out of this world.

I think the support need to realise what sort of player the big man is, everyone is so quick to get on his case when he doesn't have the best of games, just support him and he will get on with it no bother at all. Only thing is i hope he improved his decision making skills soon, takes too long to decide which pass to play at times.

At the end of the day if he signs this new deal, which it looks like he has then lets get behind the guy, we have seen the quality he can produce, and i have no doubt a bit of backing from the stands will help him to reproduce his best form more often.

Samaras is a meanderer often with the heid doon, and with questionable purpose at times, and sometimes too often.
Eg. take McCourt he can meander but its usually with purpose and skill, and often with heid up and results.
Take your pick, because I aint sure who I would pick? LoL

I thought both Sammy and Hooper were poor last night, luckily for us Ledley stepped up to the plate.
