Who is gonna moan when we are winning in the current situation.[/QUOTE]

Those whose are young enough and have enough time ahead of them to wait.........could be a long time with TM at the helm :97:

strachan left of his own accord,t.m. came in and we all wanted it
changed as last season was so bad, caldwell,McManus have to go
    t.m.does exactly that.
brings in quality midfielder n,guemo and left back fox, realises fox no
better than naylor and sells him, brings in new centre back and centre
    forward doesnt sell McGeady,or McDonald.
in the meantime malone and brown have been out for months and while
results should be better celtic are easier on the eye than last season.
so what would anyone out there do differently?

I dont think sacking him this season would serve any purpose. Its too far down the road of concentrating more on moggas vision than winning the title to turn around now and adding to the turmoil will not help. We are being asked to take a leap of faith but nonbody knows if this will pay off or we are looking at a Rangers 3 in a row. As someone posted, I think he has until next October to show he can get results and not just pretty football. The jury has always been out about that with Mogga who has never shown he can win at the highest level as yet. The suspicion still is there that he is a football idealist who is not focussed on results. He hs implied as much himself several times.

Of course he shouldn't be sacked.

Who in their right mind would give somebody millions of pounds to spend on strengthening the team, a carte blanc to do whatever he wants to the squad as a whole (I.e. gut it), and after saying "you have 2 years to complete your plan", pull the rug from under his feet before Winter's even out.

It is simply madness and systematic with the success hungry fans who don't understand that football is not an exact science where every match should be 6-0 to us.

This could all be falling on deaf ears though, I see the papers have their knives out for him. Within the first paragraph on any tabloid, nay, any paper full-stop and you'll see the term "under-fire". I think he walked into the Old Firm fishbowl naively under the false pretense that he can reel out the fan favourite catch-phrases and soundbites and the press will lap it all up and we'll all get along.

That's not why the press are there - they aren't there to write wishy washy "Paradise" stories. They want crisis, blunders, arguments, bust-ups etc etc.

Strachan knew it from the start and only now have we seen Tony come to realise that the press want to destroy him as long and painfully as possible. The tabloids shapes what the mob think so I think Mowbray has been shocked into a change of attitude.

Even so, I think the damage on the pitch and henceforth with the media has already been done and with the league all but gone and some unpopular players at Parkhead, I think Mowbray has to battle the press as much as the huns to retain his job.

i know its rumours etc but i know one the stewards at CP, was sayin that rumour had it TM wanted to go mutual consent before xmas?
agree there's no point in sackin him, half way through the season n he's spendin quite a bit on players so why sack him now, tho i belive nxt season he's goin to need to get the league atleast

Should have been sacked before january, now that he's bought these players he won't be simple.

Doubt he is good enough to ever win a title with celtic when the excuse of it was strachans team wares thin and he has his own team we will see you and alot of others turn against him.

TM had plenty of money to build a new team in the summer he spent alot of the budget on fortune and even then he could have sold to buy like he is doing now to bring in players he wanted but didn't so he obviously thought that "strachans team" was good enough even with the way they collapsed last season.

He * up in the summer we paid the price and now theres this desperate scramble to get players in but we will still drop more pts because we have no backbone in the team.

The part in bold, would it be fair to say that winning the Championship is more difficult than winning the SPL with Celtic? And that would mean that Mowbray has already proven that he has the credentials to win here?

I promised myself after the Hibs game that I wouldnt come on here for a while becuase I knew that the site would be resounding with the sound of towels being thrown in and calls for BTMs head.

I wished I'd stayed away a little longer.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Here is mine.

Those of you calling for Tony Mowbrays head should be ashamed of yourselves.

Well I am delighted with what mowbrays done we were all crying out for changes and the way this window is going its getting better. He is trying to sort out our defence and by the looks of things Samaras and Mcdonald will be lucky to get a game again. mowbrays now gettin the balance right signing some players with a bit of dig. Its just about how quickly they will gel.

The jury IS still out on his "credentials".
OK he won the Championship - but so did Mick McCarthy? That alone is no sufficient qualification to be Celtic manager.

Any plus points regarding his track record at that level can be argued away by the fact he was outsmarted and out-managed by Phil Brown and Tony Pulis in the EPL.

All we can go on so far is his track record at Celtic so far - and it's been very poor indeed considering our opposition.

Such great passion that when we scored against hamilton too keep ourselves barely in the title race (witch they have * up) they just sit there glm-faced looking at each other, tbh mate that's not inkeeping with that run through a brick wall attitude you seem to have them pictured as.

If that is the attitude they have then why have they got rid of every scottish player who is not injured and every bit of backbone we have in the team. Surely they would want that in the team.

We can't sack him now because we have given him so much money that's a given i'm not arguing for him to be sacked anymore that ship has sailed,

You and your warm hearted posts that get all the people who can't think for themselves to say ohh what a post because it makes them look good are a crock. Imo.. you have something to say it that's what your on an internet forum for fs.

Tony mowbray (THE MANAGER) Has showen me no passion for the club , he has said he dosen't enjoy the job and nothing to say he is good enough to manage at a club like celtic,

At celtic you should be able to demand performances that is the way we have always been, To be manager at parkhead you have to be strong minded and above all you need results.

The moment we change this and start waiting seasons on end on every manager to make things happen is the moment we sink even deeper into english middle of the table side going through the motions.

Football is a cut throat world mate you really shouldn't be in the sport if you start feeling sick at the sight of fans wanting a manager who has had 6 months to turn the team around and has only took us backwards sacked.

Wait till the next bad result and we'll see how many agree with you then. We get booted out of the scottish cup or lose to kilmarnock we'll see the same people too scared to say they want him out, say it only to be hit with the same knee * reaction stuff people like you always come out with.
