main difference was getting razza on and samaras off a bit earlier. removing samaras and all the liabilities he creates will improve the results rather quickly

No, we played * today. Yes the result is what matters but on wednesday we played far better football and lost.

I thought we wanted to get away from grinding out results a la Strachan?

Are we now making allowances for Mowbray that werent acceptable for Strachan?

No we have no choice to ask for ground out results dempsey because we are unable to play attractive football and win.

I would have thought that was a pretty obvious answer mate.

like many are saying it isn't his fault players (just not the strikers) aren't puttin chances away but he has signed rass to make up for that and he needs time himself. Thought hooiveld was strong and after todays battling performance we can hopefully now go on and push rangers, i think it was a strachan performance tday but it worked so stop moaning

Like i said we have no choice but to play that way, people just used that as an excuse to get at strachan anyway.

Who is gonna moan when we are winning in the current situation.

That is the problem with Mogga though. H doesnt realise its only the score that matters/ Everything else is an extra and is meaningless without the win. Yeah a lot of fans had a problem with this under WGS but I hope they reflect on their niavety when Rangers are in the CL and going for 3 in a row next season.

i can see you are intelligent due to your posts, but it is also apparent your not a football purist.you ask the arsenal fans if they would rather go back to george grahams style?! i think not

more and more managers are adopting to purist football, which is great.soon, teams will be be in our slipstream playing this way !!

mogga aint no idiot, just give it time....judge him when he has all the pieces of the puzzle!not while hes building it

Its true though, last time Arsenal saw a trophy was when Patrick Vieira scored that penalty.

    Purist Football vs. Results/Silverware

In essence, Tommy Burns reign of management makes me want results/silverware. I dont care for moral victories tbh.

The day we have a manager that can put both together is the day we loose them to a better league. So whilst we dont have that manager yet, give me results.

RESULTS WILL FOLLOW,stop thinking short term

2nd, 4th, 3rd, 3rd, 4th is the league positions of the last few seasons, if he was finishing 2nd regularly, you might have a case.

    I'm not thinking short term.

Failure to get the SPL will weaken our long term plans. The board intervening in several deals for players is the evidence. Loosing in the short term affects the long term

I wonder what all these fans will be saying if we actually win the league. I remember at the end of last season there may have been only 4/5 players I would have kept at the club. Mowbray has came in seen it for himself and is trying to build. It will take time. We had 2 new players on the field today Nguemo back from being away ki who has only played a couple of games on top of that we a young 18 year old in defence so we are hardly going to gel straight away and this might happen for the next we while because maloney and brown have to come back plus we keep hearing that there might be another 2 signings. Imo Mowbrays only mistake is that he should have done this in the summer but we dont know if the board has forced him to see what his squad was like first before making any changes.

I dont see the problem tbh, he is a good manager as proven, hes spent a good bit of dosh to add to a squad that won 3 out of 4 titles, the players he has are more than capable of * this league. I think he just cant get them playing the way he wants ?

After some serious consideration by myself and other likeminded fellows i have came to the conclusion that as were all cynical bitter twisted * we have no choice but to feel sorry for Mowbray & Co and to support them to the end of the season!
