I feel that we are in this period of transition but we need to start to get the balance of the team correct.
I have read the classy passing players v players with a bit of steal/ dig. Now i feel for any team to be a good team they need to have their ball players and certain players who can also get stuck in for example man u darren fletcher, keane before him when this player was missing they won nothing. Barca had yaya toure last year and top teams over time have these players.
So the people who think not having a couple hardmen in the team ain't important they are sadly mistaken and if mowberry is one of them then he will lose his job as he will win nothing.
Also the team needs to get a formation and stick to it.

Ill keep it short and to the point...

    Mowbray.... told you so
Celtic Board... as frustrating to see in power as Irish Government
Fortune... still not worth 3.8 Mil
Treatment of our better players like McDonald... a disgrace.

Prognosis... Rangers win Spl, Mowbray goes and the next guy is stuck with all his monkeys

Being Manager of either Celtic or Rangers does not allow you to spend a few seasons 'trying a few lads out' and playing sexy football. Your expected to win the league on your first go not because we have high expectations but because losing the title means your greatest rival will win it... its a Unique situation, Anyone that comes in does not have the luxury of time.

The one positive about the board is we arent up to our necks in debt.

we have every thing trying to destabilize our team to many new players being introduced to quickly = no team spirit ,fans screaming for players and managers to gtf its time to promote stability and find a captain in our team and stop this spoiled brattitude .

Having read all this who the * would be a manager........it's a lose lose situation

Much as it pains me to say it BTM inherited a crap team with very few shining lights. Let's not kid ourselves a lot of our players hadn't been cutting it for a long time and something had to happen. Whether BTM has made a bold and brave move or created a disaster remains to be seen. I'm no more impressed than anyone else.....I mean O'Dea as captain!!!! but I think we all need to take a step back and give him until the end of the season and dare I say it another season.

For those of you that know my views on BTM I know I can't believe that I'm saying this either! but I'm beginning to realise that there may be a lot more at stake here and not just in monetary terms. Just supposing his vision is to build a team that once it gels it could go on to win the league fo years to come? If we're being realistic we can't have a major ovehaul of the team and expect them to run away with the league in their first season.......I doubt if team changes on this scale have ever happened before? Maybe in the long term this will all work out for us so let's try to rally and support the team instead of constantly calling for their heads.

i think mowbary should go hes had his time, he is loosing us the league we need a manager who can get the players fired up, and buy a decent goal scorer and not pay 3.8 million for a striker who can score more often.

Good post Jeannie and you are right he his building for the future that so obvious to see but is January the time to make all these changes especially when the team are already behing rangers ,these new players need time to find there feet and maybe in a month or so they could be a * of a team but the downside of that is ,will it be to late to catch rangers .

If we're being entirely honest the team such as it was ......was really pathetic and results haven't been going our way for a long time. We had defenders who couldn't defend and strikers who were goal shy.....Sammy in particular couldn't hit a barn door 99% of the time if it was right in front of him  No I don't think that our situation in the league would have been a lot different without the changes......there's only one way for us to go and that's UP :50:

Personally i think if this team could go on a run of 8-9 straight wins they would win the league as rangers will drop points but im a realist and i cant see Celtic doing this either ,there's points still to be dropped by both teams yet.

I agree that anythings possible but we need a Neil Lennon type in there to show them what it's all about..........* I would rehire him as a midfielder for that job alone :icon_mrgreen: Wouldn't be any worse than some of what we've got :56:

If the huns took the 10pt hit of administration they would STILL be top of the league. :54:

Saying Tony needs time is all well and good when we can be reasonably sure he will deliver success in time.

But what part of Tony's track record shows this?

He had time at West Brom and was out-managed by Tony Pulis and Phil Brown.

Sorry - but we need to be brave and cut our losses.

It worked with Barnes and Le Guen, i think it'd would work again.

Have to question moggas leadership !! even allowing for the fact he,s been in the job only 6 months and without doubt has inherited some serious pish from strachan the bottom line is with our resources we should at the very least be taking care of the trash in our league at home !! our decline over the last few years is heartbreaking and more worrying it is leading to apathy amongst a lot of our support !! give mogga the money needed for another couple of defenders (hopefully quality )for a change and see if he has what it takes to lead us on winning run , with landry ,brown and maloney coupled with our new signings coming into the fray no more excuses can or should be tolerated we are 10pts behind the worst hun side i can remember but they are catchable!! over to you tony for now at least !!

Good managers get the best outa what they got, Walter is doin that Tony aint.

Tony Mowbray out > Lambo in

The difference is Mowbray has no man management skills, Lambo clearly does.

People may say Lambo aint ready yet but he has got the best out of the players he has where ever he has been and he cant make us any worse can he!

Alot of people seem happy enough with being 10 pts behind.

Why was strachan given so much stick for winning the league 3 years in a row yet mowbray is 10 pts behind and is getting everyones support.

Markybhoy, how is it an over reaction to a bad loss that people come on after a game when we go 10 pts behind rangers when we are dropping points on a regular basis, how can you say it is an over-reaction.

Do you all expect a major turnaround it's not going to happen mowbray isn't a good enough manager and we don't have players strong minded enough.

look what happened with le guen at rangers they acted quickly smith came in and almost got them back into the league title race.

Also question for some people and i want this answered, When am i allowed to say i want mowbray to leave Without being accused of over-reaction or a knee * reaction am i supposed to wait to 2 or 3 days after the game before i am taken seriously?

I think we were worse today than against Hibs. So why shouldn't we sack Mogga today?

Good point, but the ones wanting Tony sacked after the Hibs game only saw the score, not the game.
