    I got that impression for some reason and I have never even seen him play in the flesh. Looking at his stats and best attributes I am guessing he is more of a creative striker than an out and out goalscorer, as you say and you know alot more than me regarding him.

    Petric is REAL quality, was surprised he didn't play more for Fulham as he seemed to score every time he did. Remember seeing him at Basle and for Croatia, good technique, strong and a quality finisher. Good at free-kicks too. Wages could be a problem but of all the forwards linked to us recently he is the only one i would describe as top quality and the only one i would put money on to do well for us.

    Lennon was asked on two specific targets, namely Evian forward Saber Khelifa and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Kevin Doyle.

    On Khelifa, he replied: "He's a player I've watched. I watched him in the French Cup final. He's an option, no more than that."

    Asked about his long-standing interest in Doyle, Lennon answered: "I've a list as long as your arm for positions.

    "Kevin is a player we did try to bring in in January but whether we go again, we'll keep that private."
