Hope we don't sign him. Doesnt look like he can be a Celtic. He will be a good player for a small team, but I don't think he has the brain to be a Celtic player and respect the club history. He is really big-headed even though he only had one good season.

It;s obvious that he likes to strike the ball very very early but that goal from his own half is just ridiculous. haha!

Finding it hard to get excited at the prospect of signing this guy for some reason. I also feel the press may have just plucked another Evian player out the bag and said we are after him...it was Yannick Sagbo a few months ago.

Celtic launched a £2.5million bid for Evian striker Saber Khelifa - after finally agreeing to sell Gary Hooper.
Hooper, last season's top scorer, travelled south for talks with Queens Park Rangers after the Championship club agreed a fee of £5million.

Premiership Norwich could still enter the running after Hooper, signed from Scunthorpe for £1.6million, rejected the offer of a new Celtic contract.
But Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp claimed a deal is almost done, telling STV: 'It's all been agreed. I've not been dealing with it but the chief executive and the chairman have been dealing with Celtic.

'Hopefully we're close to finally getting there but until it's done you're never sure.
'He's a player we've been chasing for a while and now we've agreed a deal with Celtic.
'We've followed him from his days at Gray's Athletic to Southend to Scunthorpe. Then he's gone and scored goals at the highest level with Celtic.
'So he's proved that he's a goalscorer and hopefully he can score some goals in the Championship now.
'I would love to see him being leading goalscorer in the Championship and hopefully that would mean us being promoted.'
Neil Lennon is already planning for life after Hooper by pursuing a deal for 26-year-old Tunisian international Khelifa. As Sportsmail first revealed the Parkhead manager's first choice was Hamburg's Latvian striker Artjoms Rudnevs.
Despite seeking funds to support a bid for Everton's former Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic, however, the Bundesliga side slapped a £4.5million pricetag on the forward's head.
Celtic – who also chased Rudnevs when he quit Lech Poznan last summer – were willing to go to £3.5million, but refused to go any higher.
Now the Parkhead side will turn their attentions to Khelifa in the quest to fill Hooper's boots.
Capped 23 times for his country the forward is in Tunisia awaiting a move after failing to return to Evian for pre-season training.
Watched by Lennon in Evian's French Cup Final defeat to Bordeaux in May Khelifa has scored 16 goals in 54 appearances and was close to joining Montpellier before the move collapsed earlier this week.

I find it quite hard to believe that we would think we could get Rudnevs for the same price as Hamburg bought him for a year earlier. After the debut season he had I mean, £4.5m is not even that outrageous an asking price. Suppose it cannot be considered 'cheap' by our standards nowadays though.

Meanwhile, Montpellier have re-entered the race for Celtic target Saber Khelifa after initially pulling the plug on the deal. The Hoops have been linked with a £3m move for the Evian hitman, who was watched by Neil Lennon last season.
Montpellier deputy chairman Laurent Nicollin appeared to have killed the move stone dead by revealing they had ended their interest in him after Evian rejected a bid for the 26-year-old.
However, their sporting director, Bruno Carotti, has now stated the move could be back on.
Carotti said: “Khelifa is a quality player who has always interested us.
“But we know very well at these times we have to be sure the move would be right.
“We continue to monitor him and follow his progress very carefully.”
Khelifa is currently in dispute with Evian and has failed to turn up for pre-season training yet.
Celts are also set to take Brazilian midfielder Andre Moritz on trial after he was freed by Crystal Palace.

I don't know how they came to the conclusions Montpellier are after him again. Thats not what was said.
