Can't help but like him. He has a little something about him and has come back from Aberdeen physically bigger and meaner.

Wouldn't like to put money on him making such an impact to be here past next summer though.

Dont think this is an attack to you, but we could get three good shots even from Brown. You even had to look as far back as his time in Inverness to find a goal.

The thing is: last season at Aberdeen he had less goals than GMS. Both are attacking midfielders and in fact GMS played considerably less games than Christie (48 to 31 to be precise). And that because GMS was quite fairly criticized here due to being soft and missing sitters.

That's exactly his level, the same of GMS and Henderson, two guys that were deemed as good but not good enough for Celtic. Nice guy, but he wont ever make a breakthrough and be something more than a squad player.

Nah I don’t disagree mate, I just like the guys attitude and clearly so does Brendan. Up to him to him after that.

Hope he proves me wrong because I don’t think he’s good enough.

Very worrying that he's our backup if Griffiths & Edouard end up injured. I really hope BR is having a good look at any out of contract strikers, even if it's on a year long deal. Even with one of them injured, the other can't be expected to play every minute of every game.

Good wee player, hope he gets more game time.

Dive was a bit embarrassing though.

What dive? Foul was as clear as the Rogic one on Jack. :56:

I really want him to do well , hope he gets a full season and steps up to the challenge. After all the * with dembele and boyata it makes you appreciate Forrest, Brown, mcgregor and tierney more , players that don't take playing for us for granted and love the club. If lennon would have stayed mcgregor would have probably been out the door and things would have been different for him. Somtimes players just need the opportunity and game time. Who knows? Time will tell ,but still have hope for him.

He has legs but he’s even poorer on the ball than Stu was.

He will get game time now though after Demfanny left so he’ll get opportunities to prove himself.

Really? I think he’s better on the ball than Armstrong.

Always though Stu was a bit clumsy in possession and his passing was poor at times but I think that’s one of Ryan’s strong points is keeping possession and dribbling.

Aye, I think Armstrong operates on levels way above Christie and even his touch and passing weren’t good enough for Europe.

He may prove me wrong I just think he’s bang average and he’s only getting his chance because of the way the Window played out. His attitude is fantastic though I’ll give him that.

No doubt Christie has to prove himself here and Armstrong on his game was a real threat despite some weaknesses in his game.

I think he definitely deserves more of a chance as there is no doubt he is talented and as you say he has came back and his work rate has been outstanding.

Just feel he needs a chance like McGregor was initially given so we can really see what he can offer us.

Christie is a Celtic man as well so you know he will give everything for us.

He had great penetrating runs similar to Armstrong. He could actually flourish here. I'll give him this season to up his game and score 35 goals, win the treble treble and Europa final place.

We always complain about young guys not being given a chance, why not give him one. Could be a bit like Armstrong with speedy runs. Seems to have a good attitude, but if he didn't I don't think he would have come on against Rangers. Sometimes people need a chance, even if it really has only come about because of how the window has turned out. He is a decent player and if he can play as a 3rd choice striker or attacking midfielder then worth having around, let's see if Brendan can make him a good player.

Kinda think his Celtic career will this season be determined and go on to end up like either Stuart Armstrong's, or Gary Mackay-Steven's..

Already done a job in making a name of himself in Scotland, but he's taken a few years without 'wow-ing' anybody, Armstrong-esque even. I do like him, but unfortunately I think he'll only ever be as good as GMS ever was for us.

Deserves a chance.. he will try his heart out, but it’s doubtful he’s at the required standard..
