Disagree with the first part. If the lad has something about him, then why not take a chance? He wouldn't be joining up with us for a year, anyway, and £500,000 is a very reasonable price.

I agree with the second part, though. I'd happily have Souttar in our squad right now. From what little I've seen, he is comfortable on the ball, can play in a couple of positions and has a physical presence about him.

 

Don't think he's what the squad needs has he got something about him?

 

Serious question: if there is so much Scottish Talent around for us to hoover why do these teams keep getting * by some Dinamo Potato from Kosovo everytime they play in Europe?

 

We are downsizing year by year, too many people are just accepting it. We're on the verge of becoming an SPL select squad.

Which might not be so bad if the other players in our starting 11 were genuine quality and not guys who have hardly kicked a ball in their career on loan deals from English youth sides.

 

all the good young players dont play together in a single team and when they are good they tend to get picked up by other teams just look at dundee utd armstrong,gould,GMS,robertson

 

Just pay the cash. He can play on the left, right or through the middle.

 

It's got the Walter smith/strachan feel to it accept we are not negative Like smiths teams all this Scottishness in the team especially when it's your future players doesn't fill me with confidence

Feels like it's meaning johansen will get punted end of next season questions over bitton and guys like commons won't be around for long or even brown who will be around longer than commons when you take all these names out we are nothing but a mediocre spfl team like you have said

 

Without VVD, Bitton, Johansen and with replacements like this we will actually be at Aberdeen level.

Because they don't have a team of great players only 1 or 2 standout players
Although these players go for huge sums down south

Take fletcher, McCarthy, Gauld etc

So makes good sense to take them on and sell them. I think these players will still hold their value due to their age.

 

Another serious question: if there is so much Scottish talent around, why is the national team so *?

 

He's done well against us, great touch vision and can pick a pass as well as that he didn't shirk on the workload or tackle

 

As have a fair few players, more so as our team gets weaker and weaker.
Doesn't make them the answer to making us better.

Another cheap 'project' in the hope he turns out alright and the board can sell on for 4million to help balance the books to cover the loss of next seasons failures.

 

He's a cracking player not average by any means.

How many of you actually watch Scottish football? Seriously, every time we go for a player in Scotland all these ill advised comments coming from impressions he's made in cameo appearances against Celtic.

 

That would be all of us, we watch celtic, Scottish football.

But you mean the whole league and religiously follow every club just on the off chance that we attempt to sign one of the players so we can claim how amazing he is and that we are ahead of the game and clap along to such a great signing?

Nah, I don't.

I see enough games over the week to form a solid opinion on clubs, form, top players and the likes.
And not many stand out as being able to improve the squad to the level we need.


Ryan * Christie, the answer to all our problems. Because he is so much better than Armstrong, commons, Allan, Forrest, johansen, gms to play that attacking role...
