I'm sure Denayer was in the YPOTY category and it was an absolute joke he never won it.

He could have won the POTY and nobody could have grumbled.

That's what was said at the time? I find it odd that players like Wanyama, Van Dijk, McGeady etc haven't won it.

I mentioned this a few weeks back. I think it would be a good signing, especially if he was loaned back. We don't need another player in that position right now, and he would be given more game time at Inverness, where he is in good hands.

A year down the line we're likely to have moved on Stokes, Boerrigter and, possibly, Commons. £500,000 is a decent price for a young Scottish talent.

But I agree with the general consensus: I hope this is not our only remaining signing in this window,

we seem split on this one. But I guarantee if we qualified for champions league the half against the signing wouldn't be as vocal. And the other half would be singing RD's praises for his commitment in developing young Scottish talent already developed in our league

Even dealer is now questioning our policy. Madness.

    No chance.

If we had qualified we'd be saying the same thing. Fair enough it's a decent signing, but there's far more pressing issues than another attacking midfielder.

I think every penny we pour out in this window now should be to improve the club for the EL campaign.

We are not desperate for more 'prospects' right now.

If we can afford him as well as bringing in players who will improve the EL squad, then fair enough.

I would be more against it at the moment.

Qualified for the CL and our recent signings are two young untested Scottish lads? I would be really * annoyed.

Like everyone else though, if we bring in some genuine quality in the next few days then it could be a shrewd signing.

We should still sign prospects. The problem is, is that we needed experienced pros long ago. Lennon knew it, we all know it.

That is not what matters though because we do not sign players to improve the squad we sign players as assets hoping that their value will go up and we can make money for the PLC.

Improving the team with players with no resale value is not a policy we follow. It does not matter if the player will make us better thus making his value intangible.

It will be business as usual, all prospects, hoping to hit the jackpot. Constant transition, and crying about the same craic years later.

Celtic sources confirmed that a bid had been made and Caley Thistle boss John Hughes admitted that if Christie moves on, he’d love to have for the rest of the season.

Hughes said: “We have to do what’s right for Inverness, We are a selling club, no doubt about that, and we would never step in anybody’s way. It would be the same with Ryan Christie.

“But, right at this moment in time, he’s under contract to Inverness and long may that continue.

“The ideal scenario would be, if he ever did move, we would try to keep him here just to buy ourselves some time and keep that quality at the club.”

I think this deal will go through to be honest looks like all parties interested would be satisfied with this deal. Would be good prospect and £500,000 is a good deal for a player that will go up in value. Same with Allan

I wonder if we are forming a team for the league and a team for europe

Stevie May has just been transfer listed. If we have to sign yet another mediocre Scottish player who probably won't do much in Europe, I'd rather it was him. At least he got 30 goals in the league a year ago.

He'll add depth to the attacking midfield positions which were looking low on numbers.

    Henderson
    Christie Armstrong Rogic Commons
    Johansen
    Forrest Allan McGregor
    GMS
    Stokes

Id loan him to keep him away from the sheep. The last thing we need is for them to keep the diddies down like they have been doing.

    Funny cos' it's true.

That's why if we are wanting to strengthen those areas I think we should be looking at someone who is clearly a step up from what we have.
