Christie, like many other players, needs proper man-management. Wouldn't be surprised in the least if he goes on to have a decent career south of the border, in a team led by a good manager. Which, of course, is something we haven't had since Rodgers left.

Gave the ball away way too many times last night, and also put teammates under pressure with underhit pases.

I thought he played well. Far more comfortable in a central position. St Johnstone weren't all guns blazing, but we know he can fulfil the role. Pressing was very good. As a team, it is far more coherent than it has been this season. It was one of my biggest criticism of him in the wide right role, where I felt he exposed the right back and that side of the field far too often. And in fairness, like everything else. It was more than likely due to the absolute breakdown in the whole team structure.

Like many others last night, he looked happy, a number of players who were laughing, interacting and smiling and comfortable on the park. Which has been missing for the previous 37 games.

Would I like him to stay? I wouldn't be forcing him out the door.

But he has so much control over his future, no long term contract. A good Euro's and he will leave.

Christie on the right - *
Turnbull on the right - *
Armstrong on the right under Deila - *

There’s a wee trend there if you look really closely. I thought Armstrong was rank rotten for the longest time, then when he moved to Southampton again thought he would be found out. Was his season under Rodgers a fluke? Naw. I made a * of it, he’s a good player who was being played out of position. Christie is a good player, and will come good again either with us or someone else.

Christie has obvious talent. He's a creative player and has incredible energy. Off the ball he chases players down and makes tackles. He has many attributes lots of teams would pay handsomely for.

Since Lennon told him to shoot on sight, he had been incredibly wasteful. All he needs is for a manager to ban him from taking long range shots, and look for a pass instead. And if a long range shot is the best option, aim low. That way we might at least get a rebound or a corner, if it isn't a goal. It's a quick and easy fix that might transform him.

The guy is an ok player but seems to think he is special , the sooner somebody offers decent money for him then ship him out , his refusal to sign a new contract was the end of the road for me .

    I get what you're saying.

However, there is also an argument that players should be able to adapt to multiple positions, and by that I don't mean playing McGregor as a left-back, which went completely against his attributes and exposed his biggest weakness. Christie has the attributes and is more than capable of playing the wide right position, but also needs the structure around him in order to function properly. I also believe Christie can play as a forward, again it has to be with the right structure around him.

The team this season never functioned anywhere near to the abilities. Normally, you'll get a few players who have dips in form over the season. We haven't had a positive consistent level of performance all-season from all players. That comes from structural issues. Lack of Confidence of the individual players and the system.

Never a wide player, it's there for everyone to see. Well, except for Lennon. One of many issues this season was what to do when Forrest got injured. Christie was never the answer, to utilize him to his strength is in a central role.

One issue out of many that wasn't addressed properly this season.

    Stupid * that he is.

I'm fine with some folk appreciating Jose in later years, but for * sake, the one thing Jose could have posted that no Celtic fan or player should ever interact with.

I wouldn't say offended, just another "* off Christie" moment where he proves he completely does not get the club.

Guys a *. Players like him are the reason we are in a mess. Utter * mascarading as someone who can play when in reality a headless chicken who takes 100 outside the box shots because he doesn't give a * other than creating his own YouTube reel. *.
